There's a lot of stories about crypto being scammy and people losing a lot of money on meme coins. But this is one of the cool stories. We had Siqi Chen on MFM. He was raising money for a lab and someone made him a meme coin and it raised $1m+ for rare brain cancer research... Funniest part is he didn't even have a solana wallet a few days before this happened. The token went from zero to $80M market cap in ONE DAY. He promised to sell $1k worth every 10 mins and send it straight to brain tumor research. Even with the price dropping 80% from peak, they still raised $1M+ for his daughter's rare cancer research. internet doing internet things but for good.

It became very clear that our first generation EV’s like Mach-E, and F-150 Lightning were just not going to be competitive so we created a small group in Irvine—none of them came from Ford. They were tasked with coming up with an affordable EV for Americans to compete with what we thought would be the standard; which is Tesla and BYD.”
