I respect the brave journalist Manish Kasyap Son Of Bihar ji but before putting direct allegations can he prove what he is actually saying about a central minister Nitin Gadkari ji. I would sincerely request the concerned national authorities and the union minister himself to come up and clarify all things about the ethanol blended fuel and clear the confusion among the common man regarding the same. Bihar-based journalist Manish Kashyap ji has claimed that his new Toyota Innova HyCross (E20-compatible) developed a major fault after covering just around 12,000 km. He alleged that despite the vehicle being relatively new, Toyota refused to provide warranty support. Expressing his frustration, Kashyap also strongly criticized Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and the government’s ethanol-blended fuel policy. In a video, he alleged, “Nitin Gadkari has ruined the entire country just to benefit his son,” and further claimed, “He has damaged vehicles across the country because of his policies.” His remarks have sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many users debating the reliability of E20-compatible vehicles, the effectiveness of the ethanol fuel policy, and the responsibility of automobile manufacturers. Tehseen Poonawalla is absolutely right & must be supported by everyone univocally on this issue. If you don’t support him, you risk your valuable vehicles which are at risk now. The forced E20 ethanol blending policy has become a textbook case of conflict of interest, lack of transparency, and disregard for the common citizen. How people of India are being treated as Guinea pigs for trials and how their only precious asset a 2,3 or 4 wheeler is risked is appalling, brazen and shames less and that to benefit Mr Gadkari’s son 😡 While Union Minister Nitin Gadkari aggressively pushes mandatory E20 — claiming it helps farmers and cuts imports — his own sons reportedly have direct business interests in ethanol distilleries that have seen massive revenue surges. Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri defends it by comparing our daily drivers to racing cars and downplays mileage drops, engine wear, and the complete absence of consumer choice. This is unacceptable. Citizens have every right to choose between E20 and regular petrol. Old cars, new cars, bikes — all are being forced into an untested rollout without proper public disclosure of ARAI reports or impact studies. When policy benefits connected businesses while harming vehicle owners and wallets, accountability must follow. Bro copied the standards for Ethanol policy from USA, but didn't copy their testing results and implementation. Even today, E20 is not mandated in the USA. Standard American gas stations predominantly sell E10 fuel, which holds over 95% of the market share. Higher ethanol blends like E15 have only a 1–2% share. The USA tested E15 and E20 across 86 vehicle models and 6 million miles (96 lakh miles) in 2011, based on which E15 was approved only for new cars that were E15 compliant, while older cars continued to get E10. E20 was not mandated due to engine wear concerns in non-compliant cars, which were in the majority in the USA. And most importantly, unlike India, the USA made their studies public. So what kind of policymaking is this? If you want to copy, either copy everything: the standards, the test results, the implementation, the way ahead, or don't copy anything at all.
