Earlier this week, Constable Sorbara stopped a driver on Centennial Parkway who was travelling 147km/hour instead of the posted 70km/hour speed limit. The 17-year-old driver has now had their driver's licence suspended, their vehicle impounded, and some hefty fines to deal with. Slow down, save lives!

BROOKLYN CENTER: Traffic management cameras captured a driver at an estimated 5 to 10 mph on the freeway, causing other drivers to slam on their brakes behind the vehicle and create a traffic jam during the afternoon commute earlier this week. Ultimately, State Troopers were able to get the driver stopped and video shows the vehicle being towed from the scene.

RECKLESS! On Monday, December 1, around 12:30 a.m., AIR5 spotted a reckless driver on US 95 at Charleston. The light-colored sedan was traveling at speeds between 120 and 140 miles per hour, weaving dangerously close to cars and passing on the shoulder. The vehicle was seen sparking at some points while Air 5 tried to keep up with the dangerous speeds. As you can see from this helicopter video, this could have ended in tragedy. One of our patrol officers spotted the vehicle and pulled it over on the southbound I-15 ramp from US 95. Behind the wheel was an 18-year-old who showed signs of impairment. One supercar, a Ferrari Monza, was worth more than £3.7 million. Police said the driver had been at the wheel less than half an hour when he was stopped and found to have only a provisional licence. The car was also unlicenced.

In January this family lost their home in the Palisades Fire, a few months later their son was tragically killed by a drunk driver. Thanks to the soft on DUI laws in California, the driver had a previous DUI and was driving on a suspended license. If that weren’t bad enough, the driver still has not been formally charged AND IS OUT ON BAIL DUE TO OVERCROWDING. There is no justice for victims in Gavin Newsom’s lawless California. The vehicle fled into a dead-end alley on W Lanvale St. Three officers approached on foot and ordered the occupants to show their hands.
