In Figma motion, you can easily nest your animation in a frame, and use that parent frame as a camera with position, scale, and rotation. Also J and K will move the play head to the next and previous visible key frames. #figmatip Who wants a full tutorial on this concept?

Your Friday reminder that the pattern fill tool in Figma is an absolute bop. Select any source that you want to be a pattern, and it live updates, and control the pattern type, scaling, spacing, and orientation. #FigmaTip

You can loop property tracks on the timeline in Figma motion, right click on any property track and set "loop track". #figmatip You can also snap to them while holding shift, or while dragging the end of the playback area.

Make a yin-yang symbol with the shape builder tool in Figma in 22 seconds. In Figma Design, you can press the M short key with selected objects to access the shape builder tool. Option or alt click to subtract away.

A little behind the process... animating with nested frames with adjusted anchor points -> component then duplicated and rotated to make my lil creatures in Figma motion.

And yes, Figma motion context can be sent via Figma MCP. I was able to take the motion bento from the keynote to create a motion explainer site, as an expressive brand doc.

I built a tool to create, animate & export pixel art using Figma & now it’s on a billboard in Singapore 🫨 It all started out as a joke & after 384 prompts in Figma Make….I DID IT Thanks Figma for all the love & for featuring it. It’s been my highlight of this year.

You can make your Figma designs functional with Claude AI Select component, go to Dev Mode and use Figma to Code plugin to turn to React/Tailwind. Copy the code and paste to Claude AI. Prompt "Create this component and center it". Then, "Make this functional", "Add rounded corners", "add hover states", "animate transitions". Don't forget to ask "always give full code". Otherwise, it might break the Artifact.
