Do better @edmontonpolice . The woman was obviously suffering and you were not helping the matter. You better hope it's never your daughter in a situation like this. Disgusting.

Alberta isn’t known as Canada’s Texas for nothing. That poor woman deserved better than this.

I feel like every single person who's had a job at a larger office completely understands the concept. If your computer is glitching, are you gonna call Accounting or IT? If you need to discuss benefits, you wanna talk to HR or Project Management? Having dedicated roles WORKS.

Change the uniform for street clothes and imagine this same guy talking to someone like that. Nope.

I've had suicidal depression my whole life. Stopped asking for help a LONG time ago. Been abused a LOT by PD, by EMTS & nurses. They have enormous contempt for the suicidal. Perfect targets for abuse.

Unfortunately police are there to protect the law, but many are likely not equipped to handle mental health crises. We need a separate adjacent entity with trained professionals for these instances.

Where is the empathy or compassion? These men were the wrong ppl to send out when a person is in crisis. They need a separate team to handle these type of cases. My heart is broken for the lady who called. 😢
