🐨: One day we were on the way to Pattaya, driving past this famous fried chicken place that Sonya loves 🍗 One of the staff suddenly yelled, "Sonya, want anything?" The second she heard the restaurant's name, she sleepily blurted out, "6 egg tarts!" 🐰: Hahaha, I literally said, "Six egg tarts," without even realizing it. And to the large portion of people on here that warned me against doing it this way (cold turkey)I agree with you. This was the wrong way to do it, but my soul had decided it had to stop. If you guys quit please do it the proper way. I go through life too much with the fuck around and find out mentality. 🧀🥚 CRISPY CHEESE CRUSTED DEVILED EGGS 🥚🧀 Everyone’s been asking, so here’s the recipe — and it’s SO simple. What you need: • Deviled eggs, halved • 1 beaten egg (for washing) • Finely shredded cheese (Parmesan, white cheddar, Asiago — your call) • 2 tbsp butter How to make them: Heat butter in a skillet until it JUST starts to brown, that’s your sweet spot. Dip the flat side of each deviled egg into the egg wash, then press into the shredded cheese. Pack extra cheese on top because more is more. 🧀 Place them face-down in the pan for 4-5 minutes, or until you see the cheese around the edges turn deep golden brown. Someone reminded me that I had promised long ago to post an egg curry video in honor of egghead Sabeer Bhatia. Here I made a Bengali style spicy rich onion-tomato egg curry infused with garam masala and bhaja masala, clinging to golden pan fried boiled eggs and potatoes. What sets this masala apart is the uniquely sharp tang it acquires when you roast the ingredients in pure mustard oil. A splash of lime, green chillies and chopped dhania to round it off and you have a comforting Dim’er dalna with peanut pulao for some extra crunch. Set to one of my favs by Zubeen Garg of course. #SavitriCooks
