You will remember that a month or two ago, I posted about the solar system at my home in Johannesburg, which has allowed me to hardly use Eskom or City Power because it generates enough energy for my entire usage, including powering geysers. After that post, one of you on this page, a solar expert, reached out privately and advised me to remove the electric geysers from the main solar system. He said the solar batteries were doing too many cycles because they were powering the geysers, and that this would shorten their lifespan. His advice was simple, remove the geysers from the battery load if I wanted the batteries to last the full period that they are built for. I took that advice seriously. I then asked my plumber, Shanil, who owns Metro Plumbers, to guide me on where to get high-quality solar geysers in Johannesburg so that I could replace the electric ones. Shanil told me about a new technology called the Elon Smart Solar PV System. He explained that it is much cheaper than buying completely new solar geysers. Instead of replacing the electric geyser, you simply buy the Elon unit, which comes with its own solar panels, and it is fitted onto your existing electric geyser. That is what I did. I have now removed all four electric geysers from the home solar system that powers my home. Each of them has been converted using the Elon Smart Solar PV technology. They are now powered by their own dedicated solar panels. The four geysers are running on a total of thirteen panels. So what this means is that I will never use Eskom or City Power again because in the past, when it was cloudy for three or four days, I would return to the grid to assist the batteries. This was happening because the batteries were carrying a heavy load that included four geysers. Now that the geysers have been removed from the main solar system and converted to their own dedicated solar supply, I will never return to Eskom or City Power. Even on cloudy days unless the solar system breaks down. The system is able to generate enough power for everything that I need. I also use a gas cooker, which helps reduce the electrical load. I hope this information helps you. If I had gone for the top-quality geysers that are exclusively solar, I would have paid between R25,000 and R30,000 per geyser. That would have come to around R120,000 for four geysers. Of course, there are cheaper solar geysers that you can get, but they are cheaper for a reason. So, in essence, I saved half the amount I would have paid for the geysers if I had chosen top-quality solar geysers. The gadgets and their panels cost R60,000 from Plumbing Supplies Sanitaryware Centre in Woodmead. So I have had the system in place for a week now and it is working very well. I have deliberately allowed all the geysers to continue heating so that I could test whether everything is functioning correctly, and the water is as hot as it should be. So that is the story. I thought I should share it with you for those who might want to reduce their bills. P/s The other interesting key feature of this system is that I can control it from my phone. If it is very cloudy and the water is not as hot as I want it to be, I can simply go onto the app and instruct that particular geyser to use the grid. Unlike my previous setup, where I had to switch the whole home solar system onto the grid, now each individual geyser can independently switch to the grid and heat the water to a temperature that I have set. Once the water reaches that set temperature, it automatically disconnects. I can also decide to switch off a geyser from using electricity, in my case from my solar system, or for those who do not have solar systems, from Eskom. In the same way, I can switch it off from using the solar panels. For instance, if there are four geysers and one of them is in a bedroom that is not being used, I can switch off that geyser completely so that it is not heating water unnecessarily. This gives you control, flexibility, and saves you a lot of money in the long run. You can read more about this technology here;

🔌⚡Let's start with the obvious: OUR NJ ELECTRIC BILLS ARE OBSCENE. In Governor Mikie Sherrill's mammoth $60.7B budget address, she briefly referenced natural gas and nuclear energy. The rest of the speech followed the "green energy" fairy tale trajectory of her predecessor, with an emphasis on investing in solar energy and battery storage. Here’s the problem: solar and battery storage are SUPPLEMENTS, not primary power sources. Solar works when the sun's out, but the grid needs power 24/7. This may shock and surprise some, but NJ is not Texas so any comparison is completely invalid. And batteries don’t generate electricity; they store excess solar for a few hours and cost billions to build. Most store 2–4 hours of power, next generation shoots for 6–10 hours. A 24-hour battery grid is still theoretical. Here is a comparison of power reliability rates: Solar — about 8% Offshore wind — 40–50% Natural gas — 80%+ Nuclear — up to 95% Meanwhile, PJM (the regional grid operator) warned us that by 2030, the region could lose about 40 gigawatts of reliable power generation (while replacing less than half of it).Since March, there has at least been some movement on the nuclear front in NJ, but on natural gas? Mostly lip service so far. We keep hearing about storage, batteries and demand management. Great story. Where's the generation? NJ ALREADY lost $175M on the Ørsted offshore wind gamble & despite the collapse of several major projects, Trenton continues pushing to revive offshore wind, fighting federal action in court to shut it down. The kicker is that even at full capacity, that project too would have delivered well under 20 gigawatts upon completion — less than half the power NJ actually needs. So how'd we end up here in the first place? NJ used to be an energy EXPORTER. Well, Trenton Democrats shuttered reliable power before replacements existed, so now NJ IMPORTS 35–40% of our electricity from states in our regional grid. The Dems pat themselves on the back for being “green,” while importing electricity from PA generated with much-needed fossil fuels, including coal. It gets more surreal. The same Dems assign blame to (and threaten to leave) PJM. We're importing power and acting like we hold the cards. WE DON'T (just ask Pennsylvania). And "green"? Grid batteries use lithium, cobalt, nickel and other mined minerals, produced through massive industrial extraction & chemical processing. They're ridiculously expensive to build and a disposal nightmare. Is this what they call environmentally-friendly “green energy”? Now look at the budget shell game. The budget highlights spending tied to the Clean Energy Fund ($700M a year) and RGGI (roughly $80–100M annually). Those funds don’t come from Trenton. They come from YOU — surcharges you already pay for, built into your electric bill (don't forget! Over the years, billions of dollars have been diverted out of the Clean Energy Fund to plug other holes in the state budget.) THE GAME IN THE NUTSHELL: Raise your rates. Collect the money through RGGI and Clean Energy Fund charges. Hand a sliver back as a “utility credit.” Smile big at the press conference with your climate activist crew. As the Governor & Majority party celebrate "clean energy" budget spending, understand that most of it is just recycling money you've paid in your electric bill. This budget STILL gambles on “green energy.” With your wallet. SIDEBAR: During the campaign, Mikie Sherrill promised to "freeze electric rates." Fun fact: as Governor, her Executive Order didn’t freeze anything. It "urged" the Board of Public Utilities to "consider" taking action. A far cry from freezing rates, which is not a function of any NJ Governor.

Key Features and Benefits of MJQRT: First-of-its-kind solution: MJQRT is a revolutionary digital initiative, marking the first time in India that a QR-based multiple-journey product is being introduced. I JUST BROKE DOWN THE REAL NUMBERS ON TRUMP'S TARIFFS Everyone expected tariffs to reduce the current account deficit and restore US jobs. But the numbers tell a different story. China just posted a $1.2 trillion trade surplus in 2025. The biggest in history. Up 20% from 2024. And this happened DURING Trump's "maximum pressure" tariff campaign. Let's dive deeper: Early 2025: Tariffs on China escalated as high as 145%. Late 2025: A deal brought them down to the high-40s/low-50s range. January 2026: Trump threatens 25% tariffs on ANY country doing business with Iran. Iran's biggest trading partner? China. But here's the part nobody's talking about: The Tax Policy Center estimates the average tariff rate on ALL US imports is now 17%. The Budget Lab at Yale estimates these tariffs raised consumer prices by 1.2% - roughly $1,700 per household. In 2025, businesses absorbed most of these costs. But in 2026, they're passing them to consumers. The jobs data is worse: After the April 2025 tariff announcement, factory employment FELL by 68,000 jobs. The Federal Reserve found that tariff exposure in 2018-2019 reduced manufacturing employment by 1.4%. A small +0.3% protection effect was offset by -1.1% from higher input costs and -0.7% from retaliation. Even in optimistic scenarios, tariffs create very few jobs once you account for higher input costs destroying downstream employment and retaliation from trading partners. Trump's theory was that tariffs would force manufacturing back to the US. The reality: Companies just moved production to Vietnam, Mexico, and Malaysia. Supply chains didn't come home. They found cheaper routes around the tariffs. And China? Exports to the US fell 20%, but grew everywhere else. Africa: +26% Southeast Asia: +13% EU: +8% China maintained 14% of global exports. 4x more than India and Vietnam combined. Trump didn't destroy China's export machine. He redirected where it sells. Here's the fiscal reality: Trump claims tariffs will eliminate the deficit and eventually replace income taxes. Even in an optimistic scenario, tariffs will raise about $400 billion. The budget deficit last year? Over $2 trillion. Income tax revenue? Over $2 trillion. The math doesn't work. It's not even close. Now the legal problem: The Supreme Court is weighing whether Trump's tariffs were even legal under the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Congressional researchers say importers paid roughly $129 billion in estimated duty deposits for IEEPA tariffs as of December 10, 2025. If the Court rules against Trump, that money potentially gets refunded. The entire tariff structure collapses. And nobody knows what happens next. Costco and major retailers have already filed lawsuits. Meanwhile, the EU is negotiating with China on "minimum price undertakings" to replace tariffs. Canada is considering dropping their 100% tariff on Chinese EVs. So Trump's pressure is pushing allies CLOSER to China, not away. These tariff policies are accelerating the transition to a tripolar world - US, China, and a European bloc increasingly willing to play both sides. In two and a half years, hitting an annualized rate of 10 gigawatts a year in space, and in three and a half years, maybe a hundred gigawatts, going beyond that with the terafab to scale to a terawatt per year." --- 🌕 Ultimate scaling via lunar production and mass drivers Elon Musk explained that scaling three orders of magnitude past a single terawatt forces a transition completely off-planet to avoid the logistical penalty of Earth's deep gravity well. The vision relies on establishing manufacturing infrastructure directly on the moon to leverage localized resource loops and zero-atmosphere physics: 🌙 The company plans to establish localized raw production lines on the moon to fabricate solar panels, photovoltaics, and radiators from lunar materials. ⚡ Manufacturing components locally avoids the massive fuel and mass penalties of transporting heavy structural materials from Earth. 🧲 Because the moon has no atmosphere and only one-sixth of Earth's gravity, the facility will utilize an electromagnetic mass driver to launch completed satellites. 🚀 Operating essentially as a linear electric motor rail gun, this mechanism will shoot fully assembled AI satellites straight into deep space without relying on chemical rockets. "The only way that we can really see that you can achieve that is on the moon with a mass driver, essentially where you do local production of photovoltaics, solar panels, and radiators on the moon. Canadian Solar [Full Investment Thesis]: Everything You Need to Know About $CSIQ “THE GREAT SOLAR RECKONING” ☀️ 🔋$CSIQ became my largest position earlier this year, after I had been studying the company since 2023. Here is my 250-page, ~three-hour presentation on Canadian Solar. I made this video to compress the 1,000+ hours of work already done here, hopefully helping speed up the learning curve for anyone interested.☀️🔋 This is not meant to be flawless. It is meant to be done. I believe $CSIQ is entering one of the most promising periods in its history. With $15B+ in total assets, three multi-billion-dollar businesses spanning solar manufacturing, storage manufacturing, and project development across six continents, and a mere ~$1B market capitalization, Canadian Solar is poised to be one of the top energy performers in 2026. The market has left this company for dead. But underneath the surface, the foundations of the business have been getting stronger: - While the solar industry wrongly spent on building overcapacity, Canadian Solar was one of the few companies slowing down and investing upstream into its project development arm. - While everyone looked to globalize supply chains, Canadian Solar has been building its manufacturing presence in the U.S. since 2023. - While much of the industry was still debating battery storage, Canadian Solar was already building gigawatt-scale projects in 2021. Today, it is reaping the benefits of having been a first mover. This is the story of a company that, despite operating in a ruthless and complicated industry, has consistently been deliberate and rational in its capital allocation decisions. It remains founder-led, with the founder still owning ~20% of the company. Shareholder value creation will always be top of mind, regardless of the market’s current irrationality. The solar industry, like every commodity industry, is deeply cyclical. I am convinced we have already seen the worst of it, and that better profitability is ahead for equipment manufacturers. This is already starting to show in CSI Solar’s Q1 2026 results, with $100M+ in operating profit for the quarter. The supply-demand imbalance for electricity should result in excess profitability. $CSIQ is about to make the undeniable obvious: Canadian Solar is a Western (actually, global) leader in renewable energy. Not middle of the pack. At the very top. They produce ~25 GW of solar modules per year and ~15 GWh of storage per year. For reference, the entire U.S. added roughly 60 GW of total generation capacity in 2025. And they do not only manufacture. They also develop, engineer, construct, and operate billions of dollars of energy assets. That creates a powerful learning and feedback loop between manufacturing and operations, allowing them to stay ahead of the curve. Their BESS experience is the clearest example. At first glance, my estimates and projections may look overly optimistic. But I would ask you to take the time to analyze each one individually. I think you will see that even my bull case uses assumptions that many people already treat as base case assumptions for comparable companies such as $FLNC, $TE, $FSLR, $AMRC, $NXT, and others. The math example couldn’t exist in reality based on G3M. It is just an example to explain the process. ************* Imagine a robot (AMM) that's always ready to help you trade your money (assets) with others on a special online platform (the XRP Ledger's decentralised exchange). This robot doesn’t need to find someone else to take the other side of your trade; it just makes the trade happen using a big pot of money (pool) it manages. How Does it Work? Trading: You can swap one type of money (asset) for another anytime you want, using the robot’s pot of money. The robot uses a special formula to decide the swap rate. Creating a Pool: Anyone can create a new pot of money for two different types of assets if it doesn’t exist yet, or add to an existing one. Rewards for Pool Creators: People who add money to the pot (liquidity providers) get special tokens (LP Tokens) as a thank-you. These tokens can be used to: • Get a share of the money in the pot back, along with some extra (fees collected). • Have a say in changing the robot’s settings, like trading fees. • Bid to get a temporary discount on trading fees. Risks and Rewards: If many people are swapping money and the pot stays balanced, the people who added money to the pot earn some passive income from the fees. But, if the value of the assets changes a lot, they might lose some money. More Technical Bits: Exchange Rate: The robot adjusts the swap rate based on how much each asset has in its pot. If it has a lot of one asset, that asset becomes cheaper to swap. Trading Fees: The robot charges a small fee for each swap, which goes to the people who added money to the pot. Voting on Fees: People with LP Tokens can vote to change the trading fee; the more tokens you have, the more your vote counts. Auction Slot: There’s a special feature where you can bid to get a discount on trading fees for a day. You bid with LP Tokens, and if you win, you (and up to 4 friends) pay no trading fees for 24 hours. LP Tokens: These are special tokens you get for adding money to the pot. They can be traded, used to vote on fees, or redeemed to pull your money out of the pot. Deleting an AMM: If all the money gets pulled out of the pot, the robot (AMM) gets deleted. But, it can be recreated by adding money to the pot again. In a Nutshell: An AMM is like a robot banker that helps people easily swap different types of money using a big shared pot. People who add money to the pot get special tokens and can earn fees from the swaps, but there are some risks if the market changes a lot. They can also vote on settings and bid for fee discounts. If the pot empties, the robot goes away but can be brought back by refilling the pot. Let’s look at an Example: Step 1: Creating a Money Pot with the AMM Robot Alice creates a new money pot (AMM) using the robot. She chooses two types of money: US Dollars (USD) and XRP. Step 3: Earning Fees The robot charges Bob a small fee, let’s say 1%, for convenience. So, Bob pays 1 USD as a fee, which stays in the pot. Now, the pot has more money than it started with, which is good for Alice because she can earn that extra when she uses her LP Tokens. Step 4: Alice Withdraws Her Money After some time, Alice decides to take her money out of the pot. Thanks to the fees the robot earned from Bob and others, the pot has grown to: 1101 USD 9 XRP Alice uses her LP Tokens to claim her share of the money in the pot. If she puts in 100% of the original money, she gets 100% of what’s in the pot now, including the extra earned from fees. Step 5: Voting and Discounts Alice can also use her LP Tokens to vote on things, like changing the robot’s fee. And, if she wants a discount on fees, she can bid for a special 24-hour discount slot using her LP Tokens. Conclusion In this example, the AMM robot helped Alice earn extra money by providing a convenient way for Bob to swap his USD for XRP. Alice took on some risk by putting her money into the pot, but she earned fees from Bob’s and others’ trades as a reward. Bob enjoyed the convenience of instant, hassle-free trading. BITCOIN'S "DIGITAL GOLD" NARRATIVE JUST FAILED ITS BIGGEST TEST While gold surged past $5,000 and silver hit record after record... Bitcoin dropped 6% in 2025. Silver is up 138%. Bitcoin? Down 30% from its October high. The "digital gold" thesis is collapsing. But here's what most people are getting wrong about WHY... My good friend Michael Howell at CrossBorder Capital/ GLIndexes nailed it: This isn't a "Great Debasement" trade. If it were, Bitcoin would be celebrating and bonds would be in freefall. Neither is happening. THE REAL DRIVER: CHINA The People's Bank of China has added $1.1T to Chinese money markets over the past year. And they'll likely do the same again this year. This aggressive monetary debasement is pushing Chinese residents into gold as an inflation hedge. You see, Chinese residents are big gold buyers but NOT big Bitcoin buyers. Why? The PBoC banned cryptocurrencies onshore. So when China prints money, it flows into gold, not crypto. And because the Yuan is stable against the dollar (capital controls and trade surplus), changes in the Yuan gold price transmit virtually 1:1 into the US dollar gold price. Bitcoin gets none of this flow. THE LIQUIDITY PROBLEM Michael's research shows something critical: Cryptocurrencies are the most liquidity-sensitive assets on the planet. And Global Liquidity is starting to slow. During the last liquidity downswing from late 2021 through 2022, Bitcoin fell from $65k to under $20k. In the next upswing, it gained over $100k. Now liquidity is peaking again. Bond term premia have stopped rising. Bitcoin is flatlining. The correlation between Global Liquidity and Bitcoin is ironclad. And the cycle is turning against crypto. THE OCTOBER CRASH EXPOSED EVERYTHING On October 10, 2025, Trump's 100% China tariff threat triggered the largest single-day liquidation in crypto history. $19B wiped out in 24 hours. 1.6M accounts blown up. Bitcoin plunged from $126,000 to below $105,000. Order book depth collapsed 98%. This was a stress test And Bitcoin failed. THE "HEDGE" THAT ISN'T During recent geopolitical tensions over Greenland: Gold rose 8.6%. Bitcoin dropped 6.6%. NYDIG found that Bitcoin behaves like an "ATM" during crises. Investors sell it first to raise cash. That's not a hedge. That's a liquidity source. Meanwhile, central banks are buying gold at record levels. They're not touching Bitcoin. THE MINING DEATH SPIRAL Hashprice - the key profitability metric - fell to $35-36 per PH/s/day in November. Below breakeven for most operations. 2025 was the "harshest margin environment of all time." ROI on new mining rigs? 1,000 days. In 2017? Same equipment paid for itself in 3-6 months. AI data centers are outbidding miners for cheap electricity. The squeeze is structural. WHERE THIS IS HEADING Paolo Ardoino, Tether's CEO, said it himself last week: "There are foreign countries buying a lot of gold, and we believe these countries will soon launch tokenized versions of gold as a competitive currency to the US dollar." Gold is being repositioned as foundational collateral beneath a fragmented digital monetary landscape. The BRICS are building gold-backed currencies to accelerate dedollarization. And ironically, the US will use gold-backed stablecoins to DEFEND the dollar's dominance. Gold, forever the bane of the dollar's existence, is being resurrected as its savior. A new monetary age is coming. And Bitcoin isn't part of it. MY TAKE My good friend Michael is right: Monetary debasement is a long-term investment strategy, not a short-term trade. But Bitcoin's cycle is no longer a simple 4 year halving cycle based on supply. It's a complex demand cycle driven by Global Liquidity. And that liquidity is peaking. When Chinese liquidity floods into gold while Bitcoin sits banned on the mainland... When Global Liquidity peaks and crypto flatlines... When the asset fails every stress test thrown at it... This is the majestic Victoria Falls, reduced to boulders and rocks, it is extremely painful to watch. Here, Zambian members of parliament and officials from the country’s central bank inspect the economic effects of the mighty Zambezi River drying up. Why is this important to you and me? Both Zimbabwe and Zambia rely on the Zambezi River for hydroelectricity generated at Lake Kariba, which was built by the colonial Federation of the Rhodesia and Nyasaland government in 1959. Africans must rethink where they want to go and how they will successfully get there, they desperately need good leadership to navigate their way to economic prosperity. The combined population of Zimbabwe and Zambia was 6.7 million people in 1959, today, it is 37.9 million people. Yet, both countries are still using infrastructure designed and built for just 6.7 million people, despite a population increase of 465.67%. I give credit to the Zambians for not hiding this reality, but how did we get here? There has been no substantial investment in power generation infrastructure since the two countries gained independence. This has been caused by corruption, the looting of public funds, incompetence, and general mismanagement. Countries that once had a lower GDP than Zimbabwe, like Singapore, are now light years ahead, despite having far fewer resources. What they have in abundance are capable and patriotic leaders who have put their countries ahead of looting and plunder. The Zambezi River is partly dry because of climate change, but this does not affect only Zambia and Zimbabwe, it affects the entire world, so it can't be an excuse, you evolve with new realities by developing new solutions for your country. The difference is that the rest of the succeeding world has capable leaders who have taken advantage of avant-garde technology like solar which was not yet fully developed in 1959 when Kariba hydro was built. To understand how Zimbabwe and Zambia now lag behind in power generation, which also reflects the state of their economies, Zimbabwe’s maximum power generation capacity is 2,000 megawatts, while Zambia’s is 3,200 megawatts, giving a combined total of 5,200 megawatts for both countries. In comparison, South Africa’s Limpopo province alone generates 8,700 megawatts, surpassing the combined capacity of Zambia and Zimbabwe by 3,500 megawatts. The solutions to this problem are not utopian, they are quite basic and are readily available to any serious patriotic leader or government. It simply requires investment in power generation, such as solar energy and this is being done elsewhere. Countries like Egypt and Morocco are doing this, which is why Egypt is projected to become the largest economy in Africa by 2027. You cannot grow an economy without power, it is fundamental to understand that immutable fact. Over the past decade, Egypt has invested in solar generation plants with a combined capacity of approximately 29,200 megawatts, Egypt's total installed electricity generation capacity is 59,443 megawatts. The 29,200 megawatts solar power it installed in the last ten years includes the 1,800 megawatt Benban Solar Park, 8.2 megawatts from 109 solar system plants across 13 provinces, 19,200 megawatts from renewable energy projects in 2021, and 3,200 megawatts from government projects. In 1980, Egypt’s GDP was US$20 billion, while Zimbabwe’s was US$7.5 billion. Today, Egypt’s GDP has grown to US$348 billion, while Zimbabwe’s remains at just US$23 billion. This shows the impact to an economy if a country doesn’t generate enough electricity, a country cannot grow without power, it is that simple. Despite Zimbabwe’s vast mineral wealth, it is failing to grow because of corrupt and incompetent leadership. We know Zimbabwe has a corrupt president and government, but what about Zambia? Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema inherited a battered economy with a debt of US$18.5 billion. This includes US$11.1 billion in external debt owed to international creditors and US$7.4 billion in domestic debt owed to local institutions. However, Hichilema made a significant error, he failed to effectively communicate these economic challenges to ordinary Zambian citizens because he appointed a hopelessly incompetent information minister, prioritising loyalty over competence. As a result, a discredited former president like Edgar Lungu has real prospects of returning to power, as Hichilema failed to explain that fixing Lungu’s mess would make things tougher before they improve. He is still failing to explain in simple terms that Lungu’s massive debt needed to be restructured and paid before the economy could improve, and that Lungu’s debt was inflated by the looting of public funds, similar to how his ally, Zimbabwean tyrant Emmerson Mnangagwa, uses infrastructure projects like road refurbishment to siphon public resources. If Hichilema loses the election due to the tougher economic environment, it will be his own fault for not effectively communicating with the people about the economic reality he got from Lungu. There were so many opportunities that Hichilema could have seized, especially given the international goodwill he enjoys. However, a combination of arrogance and surrounding himself with unimaginative and incompetent individuals has exacerbated his problems. Both Zambia and Zimbabwe are experiencing 20-hour power cuts because of their failure to invest adequately in power generation over the years. Until they realise that they are relying on a 65-year-old hydroelectric utility designed for only 6.7 million people, despite now having a combined population of 37.9 million, they will continue to suffer from severe power shortages and their economies will remain stagnant because investors need reliable uninterrupted electric power. How can any serious investor go to a country with 20 hours of daily power cuts when they want to run factories that require power 24/7? Their continued failures will give credence to racists like Ian Smith, who claimed that blacks were not yet ready to govern themselves. Yet, we know there are African countries like Rwanda where blacks are governing themselves well. Without power, Zimbabwe and Zambia will remain rag tag economies, and it is time they realise that they must look beyond Kariba and invest in massive power generation. The time for complacency has passed for both Zimbabwe and Zambia. The two countries must recognise that their over-reliance on outdated infrastructure built in 1959 is unsustainable, especially considering their populations have grown by over 465 per cent since that infrastructure was established by the colonial government. To attract serious local and foreign investors and secure economic growth, they need to move towards innovative solutions like solar energy. The world is advancing daily, and without a commitment to modern power generation, both countries risk remaining stagnant, constrained by their own political leadership failures authored through corruption and staggering incompetence. The clarion call to action is very clear for both countries dubbed the siamese twins of Southern Africa. They must invest in the future, embrace technological change, and ensure that the potential of their vast resources is realised for the benefit of their people, rather than for a few corrupt and politically connected individuals. The Zambian president must also understand the importance of communication in this new world of social media and not rely on outdated methods. If he fails to engage with Zambians, the dangerous prospect of a ZANUPF funded Edgar Lungu being elected will become increasingly likely with each passing day.
