That’s what the first segment of CBS’s “Slamming The Door,” titled “Denying the Dream,” is all about. America First means putting AMERICAN workers first! Big corporations are firing American workers while replacing them with H-1B visa holders, many from India and China. My EXILE Act would END the H-1B visa program entirely. We have the talent right here in the United States. We should be investing in our own workforce, not importing from foreign countries.

But under the H-1B program, they’re not even required to interview an American—not even to post the job publicly for Americans to see. So how can they say Americans aren’t skilled if you have the unmitigated gall, the unfettered intrepidity, and the unencumbered audacity to not even interview a single American worker? This is personal for me: my mom was fired in 2021 from her job in Florida and replaced by an H-1B just weeks later. I reject the slanderous lie pushed by CEOs and the Chamber of Commerce that Americans are unskilled. Americans are the brightest, hardest-working, most brilliant people in the world, and we cannot apologize for it.

The H-1B crisis is real. The goal used to be “Made in America,” but it should must be “Made in America by Americans.” If you’re making in America but importing H-1B workers from India, you’re not Made in America—you’re “Made in America…by foreigners.” Qualified Americans can do everything right, yet Fortune 500 companies will still fire them (or refuse to hire them in the first place) and then import cheap, exploitable H-1Bs and force Americans to train their foreign replacements.
