The H-1B debate misses the real point. Countries worldwide expect US aid to lift their citizens. Fair enough - that's our tax dollars at work abroad. But H-1B does something different: it imports labor and arbitrage directly into our backyard. American workers don't just lose promotions - they train their replacements before getting laid off. Foreign aid means your taxes go overseas but you keep your career. H-1B means you lose both your job AND your future - no marriage, no kids, no home ownership. One hurts your wallet. The other destroys your life.

@POTUS It needs to apply to existing H-1B Visas as well as newly issued ones. H-1B Visa fraud has been an enormous problem in America for years.

Companies have proven that they can't be trusted. They are already working on moving toward Offshoring and utilizing the L-1 Visa instead of H-1B. Anything to not hire Americans and pay American wages. Offshoring needs to be taxed HEAVILY. What we need is a Federal job board, that companies have to post those jobs to if they are unable to fill a job. If no American applys after 90 days, then you can apply for a Visa worker. This would require a team in our government to audit how many applications they received, how many interviews they did, etc.
