Love the framework Are you familiar with @drmichaellevin and his take on cancer? Less that it's some weird enemy, and more that it's cells which are misaligned with the goals of the body. So from the point of view of the Planet, extropy would be a cancer aka misalignment.

Right. Okay, so is there a term for a positive version of extropy? To continue the analogy, if extropy is cancer, syntropy is taking the medicine that realigns everything again. But what if you then go out and tell everyone else about the medicine and make sure they have it available to them? What would that be called?

Nice visual. Worth noting the three are not in tension: entropy is a statement about a closed system's total, and life is not closed. Every bit of local order you build is paid for with a bigger increase dumped outside the boundary. Extropy is real, it just has an energy bill.

Once you visualize it, what do you think you'll build first? Or... have we arrived already and no one realizes it?

Don't worry about entropy: it is destruction by time, but other universes may even not have time, and so possibly no entropy. Waiting for us to explore in a (far) future. #entropy #physics #thermodynamics
