Fundamental keys of “catch play.” Specifically improving your ability to receive the baseball … using good “actions” to catch the ball. Just that many coaches have no clue how it's implemented It's not Olympic lifting with PVC 1x20 knees over toes Push/pull/squat/lunge/hinge Westside sled pulls Sprint technique drills I think legendary coach Tom Myslinski said it best on GPP: Its exclusive goal is to expose young athletes to a wide variety of physical fitness skills, thus stimulating healthy development and increasing their functional capacities, motor abilities, and knowledge base. Additionally, exposing the pre-adolescent sportsman to a well-rounded curriculum negates the effects of early specialization and elevates their overall adaptation level. For example, an extensive range of calisthenics, exercises from many different sports, and children's games are introduced at this stage. Particularly, preference is given to the elementary movements that provide low neurological resistance but serve a foundational role, such as running, jumping, climbing, tumbling, swimming, and throwing. #LTAD

When working with youth athletes, keep it simple. Choose exercises that are easy to teach but deliver a big return on athletic development. Explosive throws—like squat throws, scoop tosses, slams, and clean & jerks—are excellent for building power and serve as a natural bridge into more complex training later on. Mix in some reactive work such as hops and multi-jumps, and give plenty of rest between sets. Put it all together, and you’ve got a strong recipe for developing speed and power in young athletes. #LTAD

This is a real world training session. Aside from leopard crawls, everything featured in this video was installed during this session. It’s not perfect, but it’s a solid starting point. Here we focus on: 1. Lateral leopard crawls (part of our warmup - trains the serratus anterior which is critical to shoulder health) 2. Lateral A-march - looking for Ken Clark’s “3 bucket” position 3. Multi-directional extensive plyos with just a touch of “sport specificity” in the footwork (chill SCs, I’m not selling sport specificity snake oil). 4. Working several different angles of cuts and decel positions - these need the most work but that’s to be expected.

"Why are you benchmarking DGX Spark? It's a training box." Yeah. Low bandwidth, but 128GB of unified memory is just sitting there. Plenty of room to optimize. DGX Spark + Qwen3.6 27B. Four backend/quant combos: 🔴 llama.cpp + UD_Q4_K_XL > 11.0 tok/s (baseline), TTFT 297ms 🟢 llama.cpp + DFlash > 20.4 tok/s (peaks at 97 tok/s), TTFT 320ms 🟡 vLLM FP8 + MTP > 13.1 tok/s, TTFT 540ms 🟣 vLLM NVFP4 + MTP > 24.2 tok/s, TTFT 376ms NVFP4+MTP is the winner for me, rock stable around 24 tok/s, no wild swings. DFlash is the wildcard: massive peaks, but fluctuates a lot. FP8+MTP barely beats baseline, and it's FP8. Love my Spark.

“what are your dreams for the future?” 🆑: my ambition is to try and have the simplest life, keeping all those passions alive, and this is really where i’m spending my time now. i don't really need anything more because i’m happy the way i am, and my only ambition now is to obviously be a world champion. this is all i’ve ever dreamed about and this is all i’ve ever worked for and what i will continue to do so. but just having a relatively simple life and of course, simple is relative and it's more simpler than what it is now because obviously my life is quite hectic and i travel from everywhere. i go everywhere in the world every week for racing, for different kind of events. but trying to keep a simpler life and at the end of the day, i think what really matters in life is mostly people that you love most and to just keep that in mind, even though life is obviously quite hectic. 🎥: eight sleep

It’s been a long time coming, but I’m nearly done with what I’m calling the ⚡️ElectronLCD⚡️ This is a general purpose LCD driver for low resolution RGBS video inputs (specially designed for the Sega Nomad, but other video sources are accepted as well). Currently supports 3.5” and 4” displays (IPS and non-IPS) at 320x240p. A powerful OSD engine has been developed with individual setting options for modifying the video output as well as quickly switching to known-good presets. Thanks to iFixRetro for all of your guidance throughout this project! If all goes well, then I’m expecting to have these available for purchase at the end of September.
