China is not “6 months behind”. China is not even super keen on the “we will sell closed source LLMs to consumers” model so it makes no sense to even compare OpenAI, Anthropic to Chinese AI. China is 6 months behind in humanoids, 12 months ahead in open source AI, and 3 years ahead in drone tech.

If these AI "super mathematicians"/programmers actually appear in one year, in two to three years we'll have such powerful AGI/ASI that nobody will doubt their reasoning abilities.

In the beginning that will be very expensive to run, then at some point a lot of the code we have in our apps will be built by AI engineers instead of people engineers. In my opinion that will augment the people working on it. My view is that in the future people will be so much more creative and freed up to do crazy things."
