.@bryan_johnson you may find this of interest for longevity research purposes. Not mentioned in this video is that after taking daily cold bath, Ernst Jünger would do jump rope well into old age. Born 29 March 1895 he died 17 February 1998 at almost 103! In this video he is 90.

Can relate to what he said about skipping a meal to avoid post-food lethargy. I feel way more energized & mentally sharp by limiting breakfast to just coffee/tea, a bit of dark chocolate or softboiled egg, then wait til 2-3pm to eat a normal-sized meal.

Luis Enrique has a daily routine unlike any other manager I know. Being a football manager is one of the most stressful jobs in the World. It takes extraordinary fortitude to live the life of a manager for a sustained period. His day begins at 6am in the gym for an hour. Followed by coffee and no breakfast. Fasting all day is the norm. The only problem I have with Rowan Atkinson as a stand-up comedian is that he’s never done enough of it. And maybe that’s a good thing? After all, one of the reasons Fawlty Towers is so admired (apart from it being incredibly funny) is that they quit while they were ahead. With Rowan, stand-up has always been an occasional thing and he was at his most active in the early to mid 1980’s. When it happened though, you knew it was going to be good. This routine was actually recorded in 1992 and the entire show was written by Rowan and Richard Curtis. The whole thing’s on YouTube. Just search Rowan Atkinson Live, 1992. Remembering the great Art Tatum who was born on this day in 1909. Considered one of the greatest technical virtuosos in jazz, Tatum extended the vocabulary and boundaries of jazz piano. In his improvisations Tatum was given to spontaneously inserting entirely new chord progressions into the small space of one or two measures. His reharmonization of pop tunes became a standard practice among modern jazz musicians, horn players as well as pianists. In rhythmically unpredictable spurts, he often generated lines with notes cascading across each other while weaving in and out of tempo. Few jazz pianists after Tatum failed to incorporate at least one favourite Tatum run or embellishment in their playing. Several jazz pianists—including Bud Powell, Lennie Tristano, and Oscar Peterson—as well as other jazz musicians credited and clearly exhibited Tatum’s influence. In this video, Miles Guo accused Chinese dissidents in America causing foreigners to look down China because they attacked CCP national leaders daily. 🚨 CMC UPDATE: Deja vu for CMC? Christian McCaffrey has a NEW calf injury that he suffered yesterday. He went from a full unrestricted practice on Wednesday to a limited practice on Thursday to a DNP today, working off to the side with strength and conditioning coaches. McCaffrey has a significant history of calf strains dating back to playoffs in 2022, they cost him a game in 2023, and were the beginning of his issues in 2024. It is unclear if this is the same injury as his old one or a new one. Likely it is a re-aggravation of the old one. It is also unclear if his Achilles are involved. He is listed as questionable for Week 1. He very well may be a game-time decision. I think there’s just as much of a chance of him playing as him missing. IF he plays, I believe they will limit his touches (15-20?), mixing in Brian Robinson Jr. and maybe Isaac Guerrendo. McCaffrey will be at moderate to high risk for re-injury.
