These suspects Polk'ed around and found out -- we don't tolerate theft here. On Friday, June 26, 2026, PCSO deputies arrested 12 adults and 3 juveniles who were stealing food and drinks at the Davenport Wawa located on Old Lake Wilson Road; all of the suspects have been staying in an AirBNB visiting Polk from other counties in Florida. A 16th suspect was arrested during the investigation for interfering with deputies while they were detaining the theft suspects. Store employees contacted the Sheriff's Office after observing the suspects walking around the store, concealing bottled drinks and some food within their clothes. The group of people appeared to all know each other, and arrived at the store in three separate vehicles - a BMW, a Tesla, and a Honda Accord. The suspects, a mix of young adults and juveniles, were taking turns going into and out of the store during a 15-minute time span, some of them eating and drinking the items that they stole. Husband and wife were fatally shot by a 17-year-old suspect who broke into their home in Mississippi. Billy Blair, 74, and his wife, Virginia Carol Blair, 71, were shot and killed in their home in Mendenhall after Cordarius Laray Hobbs forced his way inside. Denver suburbs are going to begin to feel the effects of the prison gang, Tren De Aragua and the plethora of violent criminals that are here thanks to your government leadership that made Denver a sanctuary city. Here are some things you should be doing: Get to know your neighbors and community and if you aren’t looking out for each other you need to begin. Have a home defense plan discussed and implemented. Make sure everyone you live with has that understanding and role. Have medical supplies on hand and accessible. Make sure you know how to use a tourniquet and seal chest wounds, etc. Strap up with rifles for home defense and train with those tools avidly. This is not a game. Do not underestimate these criminals - they have been trained and are comfortable with violence. You’d better be prepared to match that force. Do not keep your garage door openers in your vehicles outside your home. Bring that inside with you and keys every day if you are not parking in your garage. Cameras are great, but be sure you have reinforced locks, etc. I also keep my keys next to my bed. The alarm and panic button can create a diversion and attention to the home. You can also count on getting out of easier if you need to - this can be explored in your escape plan. Get involved in your state level politics and put pressure on everyone in power. Stay safe out there people.

The manager (who was answering the speaker) called him a liar, dropped F-bombs, and kept going even after the husband walked inside — right in front of other customers. So they left and drove to Chick-fil-A instead. Because no matter how long the line is there, you’re never going to get spoken to like that. Some customer service experiences really make you appreciate the places that still treat people with basic respect.
