ACB Seizes Crores in Cash During Raid on Nizamabad Municipal Superintendent In a significant operation by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), a staggering amount of cash and assets were uncovered during a raid on the residence of Dasari Narendar, the Superintendent and in-charge Revenue Officer at the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation. The raid, conducted as part of a case registered against Narendar for Disproportionate Assets, revealed assets far exceeding his known sources of income. During the search, the ACB discovered Rs. 2.93 crore in cash stashed in his house, along with a bank balance totaling Rs. 1.10 crore in accounts held by Narendar, his wife, and his mother. Additionally, 51 tolas of gold worth Rs. 6 lakh and 17 immovable properties valued at Rs. 1.98 crore were seized. The total value of the assets seized so far amounts to approximately Rs. 6.07 crore. The case against Narendar falls under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, specifically Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2), which deal with the acquisition of assets disproportionate to known sources of income through corrupt practices. Following the raid, Narendar was arrested and will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad. Villa, 50-acre land bank, luxury flats: Telangana DSP booked in DA case ACB raids uncover properties across Telangana, Karnataka; cash, 2 kg gold seized A Telangana deputy superintendent of police allegedly amassed a portfolio of villas, luxury apartments, commercial properties, more than 50 acres of land, cash, gold and investments far beyond his known sources of income, prompting the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to register a disproportionate assets case and conduct searches at 16 locations on Thursday. The ACB booked Sankireddy Bheem Reddy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Police Computer Services (PCS), Hyderabad, under Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, as amended in 2018, alleging that he acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by indulging in corrupt practices and dubious means during his service. Searches were carried out at his residence and 15 other premises linked to his relatives, friends, alleged benamidars and associates. Among the assets traced were a villa at Vessella Meadows in Ibrahimbagh, a G+2 house with a penthouse and another flat in Telecom Nagar, a flat at Kranti Ceon Apartments in Gachibowli, two flats in Tellapur, a share in a G+5 commercial complex on Lancohills Road in Manikonda, a 3,000 sq ft commercial space near Manikonda Marrichettu Junction and several open plots in Nagole, Patancheru, Pragathi Resorts and Mominpet. Investigators also identified an investment of ₹75 lakh in M/s Sri Raghavendra Rock Sand Minerals. ACB found Net Cash of ₹1.5 lakh Bank balance ₹25.7 lakh Gold ornaments weighing 1462 grams House hold articles worth ₹9 lakhs Vehicles worth ₹31 lakhs 7 Acres of Agricultural land worth ₹55 lakhs 22 Open plot documents worth ₹21 lakhs Documents of advance payment agreements were found for the purchase of three properties worth ₹50 lakhs The market value is expected to be much Higher than the official value.
