CapCut Design Studio changed the way I think about creating with AI. For a long time, creating with AI felt less like creating and more like managing files—generate, export, switch tools, edit, re-upload, repeat. The ideas were flowing, but the workflow kept getting in the way. What's changing now isn't just image quality, it's the creative process itself. One thing I’ve observed is that most project challenges don’t begin during construction, they begin long before the brief is even properly defined. Questions like: Is the budget realistic? Am I truly prepared to start this project? Which professional competence can I rely on to guide me through it? When these are not clearly addressed at the outset, the project becomes much harder to control in terms of cost, time, and quality. Proper planning and early professional input make the entire process more predictable, structured, and efficient. And one key principle to always remember: the best way to save cost in construction is to do it right the first time.

KILL YOUR DARLINGS One of the hardest skills to develop as a storyteller is learning to kill your darlings. Whether it’s a character, a design, a shot, or even an entire sequence, the fact that something works doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best version of itself. I often see people using AI and falling in love with the first or second iteration because it’s already impressive. The tools have become so good that they make it incredibly tempting to stop there. I try to do the opposite. The Light Within has already gone through countless visual iterations, and I’m sure it will go through many more before it’s finished. Every new pass is an opportunity to ask a simple question: Is this really the version I want to spend years of my life bringing into the world? Sometimes the answer is yes. Quite often, it’s no. This is one of those earlier screen tests. Looking back at it reminds me how much the project has evolved, and why falling in love with the process is far more valuable than falling in love with the first idea. PS: also never say never.. as I rewatch this iteration there js a lot I still very much like.

It features the very latest capabilities from Adobe’s Firefly Generative AI models to help you rapidly explore potential artistic directions, mix images together, transform regions of an asset, and remix styles, backgrounds, and other ingredient assets. You can start a project using your own assets or other sources of inspiration. Project Concept then uses AI and collaborative tools to assist with both divergent thinking, illuminating the far-reaching possibilities of any creative project, and convergent thinking to bring ideas together, apply controls, and ultimately select the final direction to go with. The Fed talks about soft data. Surveys. How people feel. Danielle DiMartino Booth says, "Do not ignore what is in the hard data." There are more than 7 million unemployed Americans. But only about one in four is collecting unemployment benefits. Why? "When I was born, unemployment benefits covered 66% of what you needed just to get by. Today, they cover 33%." For many households, benefits no longer cover basic expenses. More people take on multiple jobs. More people participate in the gig economy. More Americans continue working later in life. And that 1.8 million continuing claimants number that looks so clean every week? "That's only a quarter of the unemployed. And it's only 14% of the broader universe of those who would take a job if they could get one." The BLS revisions tell the rest of the story. Every month in Q2 2025 was revised lower. By Q3, the revised data showed the labor market was weaker than headline numbers initially suggested. "A monkey could tell you that you were in a recession." Yet recession calls are rarely straightforward. Policymakers must weigh conflicting economic signals, revisions, and uncertainty before making definitive statements about the state of the economy.
