Reportedly recent footage of a Chicago restaurant manager asking a group of people to leave as other guests had complained of their heavy marijuana odor. 1. Any private business should be able to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. 2. Good on the people being asked to leave for actually leaving. All to often ego gets the best of folks and these things go sideways quickly. Instead of that - I'm sure they just smoked more weed and went to a different dining establishment. In 2019 the DOJ/ATF declared *all* AA12 shotguns, to include closed bolt semi auto versions, were "machine guns." Were they actually machine guns under federal law (not arbitrary rule making)? No. To my knowledge, that opinion letter was never challenged in court. Do thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of Americans own these guns without realizing they're committing a felony punishable by 10 years in prison without having any clue about this "rule?" Probably. Should the SCOTUS "Chevron Decision" make that determination moot? Yes. Will they still put you in a cage anyway if they catch you with one? Yes.
