More evidence of a broken welfare system. Benefits for people who could & should be in work only risks the support for those who truly need it. Fixing welfare takes courage. Only Conservatives are committed to starting again and building a whole new sickness benefits system.

The easy option is to do nothing. Welfare reform takes courage. Conservatives have done it before through Universal Credit. And we’ll do it again with a new sickness benefits system.

Every day under Labour, an extra 1000 people sign on to out of work sickness benefits. If you’re too weak to fix that, you have no right to increase taxes on people in work. Conservatives are the only party with a plan to cut our spiralling welfare state.

Keir Starmer, "It's morally indefensible that a million young people are going from education to benefits" "Nor do I think it's morally defensible to have a system that makes it difficult for people out of work to get into work" "There aren't many people who argue the status quo is working" "We've got 2 million people on benefits because of sickness, that's going to go up to 3 million, 4 million by the end of this government" Does the rise in sickness have anything to do with people catching covid, and some getting long covid, with each wave?

The UK is now a country facing collapse in every metric, AND the main problem is that those responsible for this are the very people who came to power to solve (!) it. Labour, Conservatives… They're all different faces of the same failure. None of them have the potential to fix the country. And that's exactly why BRUV exists! So why don't you have a JOB? Free snap benefits. Free daycare. She doesn't have anything better to do, so she might do more than 15 hours. Wtf?! Get these moochers off the system. Making recipients do community service is a good thing. But she can work. And needs to.

It’s not right that those who work hard are paying for a welfare system that is being abused by those who should be working but are choosing not to. Only those in genuine need should get benefits. We need to get the welfare budget under control.

So it's been revealed that those on sickness "benefits" will soon receive £2,500 more per year than someone working full-time on minimum wage. This is what the third world are pouring in for. All our services collapsing. Mass deportations needed.

It takes courage to reform welfare. When 4 million people are on sickness benefits and nearly half a million are under 25, it's clear the system isn't working. I'm prepared to rip up the current system and build something better – one that supports disabled people and is fair to taxpayers.
