Every time I think “I wish my computer could do this,” it turns into another little project 😂 This is why I love Omarchy.DHH I can build my own widgets, bring apps into them, add tabs, and shape the whole desktop around how I work. Here’s what I’ve been... building: my own agent workspace, with Claude, Codex, and Hermes in one place. My computer is starting to feel like something I made.show more

@dhh This is sweet Brotha. You have a full blown customizable OS tailored to you. AWESOME 🔥

@dhh Thank you legend

@dhh custom widgets are a rabbit hole i know well. i timebox that stuff now, otherwise a weekend of desktop tweaking turns into zero shipped work.

Customization feels productive until you spend all weekend perfecting the workspace instead of using it. Timeboxing is essential.

ha, i've done the same with my own setup. cleaned everything up and shipped nothing that week.

@dhh I’d only push back on the idea that the computer becomes yours once you can shape the desktop. The real ownership starts when those agents have explicit permissions, state, and repeatable workflows instead of just a custom interface.

The custom desktop is only the shell—real ownership comes from controlling what each agent can access, remember, and repeat safely.

@dhh La barra es Waybar, asi que con un modulo custom de exec mas interval le enchufas cualquier script tuyo en dos minutos.

@dhh Yup and it is really easy to have it. It’s all omarchy made it possible

@dhh Every damn time I feel I’m catching up to the back marker in this insane evolution. People like you make me realise how far behind I am and my fomo kicks in hard. 🔥🤯

@dhh You can do better than me

@dhh A native windows manager with Hermes panes 🛐

@dhh More to come

@dhh turning little computer wishes into omarchy widgets building your own tools into the desktop is such a flex

@dhh The real flex is not just changing how the desktop looks, but turning your own repeated needs into tools you can use every day.

@dhh How can I get the widget or top bar settings you're using?

Ask your Hermes agent to build it for you and 💥 you get it.

can i get a dot-files pls 🫠

Will open source it

alright sir, i'm waiting for the open source 😀

Here you go is this the one you were looking for

@dhh Is that delay on the tabs real? It would feel like Win98 again.

@dhh It was recording delay not the tabs. It’s smoother than Mac OS and windows by the way. I am testing my own screen recording app. And I want this recording app to be my native omarchy recording app.

@dhh Customizing your workspace is so empowering

@dhh I agree on that, this is where it feels like your Agents are doing real things. Omarchy is your agents lab too. 🚀
