Since wind is highly variable and solar is nightly intermittent, they need gnawer-100% back-up by DEPENDABLES. Voters & electricity bill payers are not as stupid or ignorant as you'd like to imagine.

So why haven’t they? You currently have 12k wind turbines and all that happened is our domestic electricity prices have gone up! Granted you will have to triple the amount of turbines and install vast high density battery farms (the battery’s haven’t even been invented yet) for the AI revolution!
