we all dream of those big wins in life the 100x, the multi-million dollar trade, or even just 10x of what you started with in 7 days i’ve been fortunate enough to experience a few of those over the past few years, and the reality is when you do win big, it doesn’t feel like it at all it hits for a split second, and then your brain just normalizes it it's a part of how to get there in the first place, but makes it a lot easier to lose it if you don't have the right guardrails in place and in that exact moment, you being even keeled doesn’t mean the number in front of you isn’t life changing it is this is where you have to slow down a bit, breathe, settle your mind don’t just roll it into some bullshit take some off the table, step away for a few days if you have to, funny enough, blowing let's say 10k of it on a beautiful trip to tokyo will save you so much because once you actually process what just happened, your future self will thank you for it the truth is, even if you think you’re going for a certain number, the moment you hit it, you’ll want more and more, and more anyone who's been in the same position will tell you the exact same thing ironically the people that win are addicted to winning and if you ask the same people in a year after that big win, what they regret and where are they proud of themselves? they will tell you they regretted rolling it over and giving some/all back or they are proud for switching back on the switch all of this is real, but it’s also exactly how i imagined it would feel years ago before it ever happened manifest your life, the feeling not just the number everything happens twice, first in your mind, then in reality

They get launched, get a few clicks, and then nobody uses them again. Before building anything, ask yourself: "Would I use this app every day? Does it solve a real problem? Does it save time, make life easier, educate, entertain, or help someone earn money?" If the answer is no, go back to the drawing board. People don't pay for apps. People pay for value. If your app helps them achieve something important, they'll use it. If it doesn't, they'll ignore it no matter how beautiful the design looks. There are still huge opportunities in healthcare, education, media, productivity, gaming, finance, local services, and many other areas. The next big app on Pi Network might not be the most complicated one. It might be a simple app that solves one problem extremely well. Stop building copycats. Stop building for hype. Build something useful. Build something people need. Build something that even you would use every day. That's how real adoption happens. That's how you attract users. And that's how builders create lasting value.

This week, I’ve seen a lot of videos about AI generated artist @xania_monet whose records are charting on Billboard and who signed a $3 million record deal. But here’s the thing, I just made a Xania Monet song in five minutes using the exact same program, Suno. So should I be able to sign a $3 million deal too? And that’s the problem. There’s no protection stopping anyone from using these AI-generated voices because they aren’t real. This is the fundamental flaw in AI-generated artists. It was too easy. It took me five minutes. So that’s why Black artists are asking the Black community don’t support these AI-generated artists. Every play, every stream, every dollar spent on them takes money out of the mouths of real songwriters, real producers, real mix and mastering engineers, and the real people who built this industry with authenticity and soul.

The people who are lucky enough to build friendships from childhood — that’s different. When you’re young, there aren’t as many layers, masks, or ulterior motives. You’re more naive, more genuine. So friendships can be deeper, more carefree, without overthinking. As adults, it’s harder. It’s harder to make real friends because you know that sometimes it’s “friends, friends”… and then they steal your bike. You have to be careful. I’m not trying to be pessimistic, but it’s better to live with realistic expectations. Appreciate the people who make you feel good as company — that’s fair. But friendship, like love, is built over years. There are people who date for a short time and say “I love you.” For me, honestly, that’s ridiculous. How can you love someone after two months? Three months? Even a year or two? Maybe if you’ve lived together every single day and truly shared life, I can understand it more. But there are people who say “I love you,” break up, get with someone else, and say “I love you” again. For me, that’s not love. Love is built over years, brick by brick — just like friendship. That’s not empowerment, that’s limitation. The idea that someone can only succeed if a district is drawn for them, or if a box is checked for them, is an insult to the very people it claims to help. Here’s a better idea, be a great candidate. Work hard. Earn trust. Serve people. Put your name on the ballot and let voters decide.

Ben Horowitz advice to CEOs “You want to be liked and respected in the long-run. Not the short-run.” “You have to be able to tell [your team] the truth in a way that you probably don’t tell most of your friends the truth,” the a16z co-founder explains. “Anthropologically, we want people to like us so we tell them what they want to hear. But on a company level or if your on the board of somebody’s company, you have to be able to tell them what they don’t want to hear. That’s the most important thing you’re going to say. And yes, they’re not going to like it when you say, but over time it can save the company.” Ben continues: “That’s what leadership is about. If everybody agrees with the decision, then you didn’t add any value, because they would’ve done that without you.
