I’m slowly starting to feel stupid for even having to discuss something like this... When you got drunk in the original Black Flag, Edward didn’t actually stumble around during normal gameplay. The screen just became blurry and shaky and once you fast travel you are no longer drunk. That was basically it. The scene where Edward is visibly stumbling around with a rum bottle in his hand comes from an Animus/loading corridor during a mission, which is something completely different. So the real question is: Did they rework that old cutscene so it’s no longer used as a loading screen? Or is it still in the game as some kind of transition scene? If it’s still there, then yes, they probably could’ve easily implemented that stumbling animation into free roam once you get too drunk. But since I didn’t test it myself, I can’t fully judge it either. I assume that we now can get drunk and fast travel to other locations and still be drunk and THAT is where this cutscene comes from. That’s why, if people want to complain about this stuff, at least do it with actual FACTS. Because I genuinely don’t think the video the AC account uploaded is even the same scene everyone is talking about.

I've said it countless times before in pretty much all my videos over the last year(s): If you're serious about software engineering (i.e., you want to get or keep a job or get serious work done) => You NEED to be open to AI! Use it as a tool. Don't dismiss it as "slop" or a fad. If that's your take, you need to THINK AGAIN. The Zig approach of banning AI is NOT the way unless you're doing this for your personal joy. Which is fine. It really is. But it will NOT land you a job, if that's what you're going for. And rightfully so, because I truly am convinced that you ARE way more productive with AI. When using it correctly. As a tool. Which is what we're all still figuring out.

So yeah, this was the biggest project I have ever worked on and is by far my best work yet, not only the animation but also the lighting has improved SOOO much it's almost unbelievable haha. I am so proud of this work and I am so happy that I am able to share this with you all, this might not be free, but 1min and 30sec is quite a long thing especially because this is just a preview, usually people just post a screenshot or few sec of the video... 😅 I just posted 1min and 30sec of it haha, so yeah, this was such a cool request I made it a little bit longer, and to be fair, this person waited for this request for ages and I also had so much fun animating I had to make a gift.. so feel free to check this video out and the Ideas this person had! Blackfiles videos are so good it made me realize that it doesn't make sense for me to spend a month on a 3d video anymore not because i can't or because i don't enjoy it... it's because ai does it better now i'm not bitter or resentfull about it... fuck, i still find joy in creating and i'll keep doing 3d for that feeling alone... but i can't fin a practical way in which this stuff is worth grinding months for? i'll just merge with AI, that's the way i'll find other creative things to do when i have free time, like growing a farm, or build a house for my dog or whatever... but no fucking way i am spending more than a month making a video anymore

If biology figured out efficient intelligence, software can too. Maybe we won't need artificial super intelligence and thousands of data centres to do most economically valuable work. Maybe there's a future where AI agents just run on your laptop, fine-tuned to you, fully owned by you, costing only what your energy bill costs. Most developers can't explain how Single Sign-On (SSO) works. This was one of my favorite questions during technical interviews. I love to ask about it because it's not a trivial topic. Here is a 5-minute overview of how Single Sign-On works. We all hate passwords; the less we use them, the better, and SSO helps with that. When you log in to Google once and visit YouTube, Gmail, Drive, and any other connected service without re-entering your password, three players are working behind the scenes: • A user trying to access an application. You, in this case. • The application you want to access. For example, YouTube. • An Identity Provider (IDP) that will verify your identity. Google, in this case. Here is what happens when you try to access one application for the first time: 1. You try to log in to YouTube, and the application redirects you to the Identity Provider (IDP) for authentication. 2. The IDP (Google) checks your credentials and confirms your identity. It creates a new session for you on its server and sets a session cookie in your browser. 3. The IDP also creates a token for YouTube—a small piece of data that contains information about your identity. 4. Your browser grabs the token and presents it to YouTube. 5. YouTube checks the token, and if it is valid, lets you in. But then you want to access Google Drive: 1. You go to Google Drive, and the application redirects you to the IDP. 2. The IDP recognizes that you are still logged in because you have the session cookie. It doesn't need to ask for your credentials. 3. Instead, the IDP generates a new token for Drive. 4. Your browser grabs the token and presents it to Google Drive. If the token is valid, Drive lets you in. You can now access multiple applications without re-entering your password. This is probably one of the best things we've invented since sliced bread! But, of course, implementing Single Sign-On is a nightmare! If you are a developer, don't try to reinvent the wheel. I've been implementing SSO since dinosaurs were around, and I can tell you you want to check out Auth0. Auth0 makes implementing SSO 100x easier. ⛰️ I just… I just like working hard. Whatever it is. You only get one life, right? So I just want to work hard without any regrets. Because I don’t think I’d be happy if I were loved without working hard. Then this time, after consistently working hard for 8 years, I received love, and only then, when I felt it myself, I realized, “Woah, I’m really being loved right now.” So I’m grateful that it turned out that way. If I hadn’t worked hard and had just gotten by on talent, and if I had just gotten lucky, I don’t think I would’ve been that happy. So I’m just going to keep doing what I’ve been doing and keep working hard consistently. You all recognize it/notice it (my efforts), actually - so that’s what I’m grateful for. It’s also important that I acknowledge my own efforts, but I’m really grateful when other people acknowledge my efforts too. And the sense of fulfillment I get from that is really big too.
