@EdalaHomes I applied to P&G in March 2018. About 100 of us wrote the test. Three interviews later, only two of us were recruited. Myself and @TheNimblar I was headhunted in 2021 to join KPMG, I deferred the job to join 4 months later. Check out my LinkedIn

I was a trucker before I got involved in politics. My family and I have worked in this industry for years and we did not cut corners. I have seen the issues around Driver Inc firsthand, with safety risks ignored, taxes dodged, and standards undercut just to make a quick buck. Check out what I had to say here 👇🏽

Former NBA player Eddy Curry says secretly marrying his high school sweetheart without a prenup and without telling his parents just before signing his $14 million NBA rookie contract was the biggest mistake he ever made. “When the divorce happened I was fvcked up. Everything that you could think happened, happened” “I got married in high school bro. I got married in senior year and she got pregnant with our son. Without my parents knowing, we went to the courthouse and they let us” “I tried to get divorced right away but she dragged that sh!t out” “For real that was one of the worst things I ever did in my life. Honestly no prenup” “I always kept it a secret because I was really embarrassed by it. I felt like an idiot that i let her do that to me” “I felt like I was doing the right thing. Like me and her were best friends from way back but we definitely clashed a lot. Our attitudes and character were a lot different” “I assumed I could just walk away because we were just friends and she wouldn’t try to gouge me” “My agent warned me and I’m like ‘no way. This is my best friend. We go way back since 3rd grade, there’s no way she’s going to try to… sh!t man” “She took everything”

Mohnish Pabrai remembers Charlie Munger on My First Million. "In every way possible, he selflessly tried to be useful." "One day before he passed away, he was in the hospital — he knew he was dying — [and] he was trying to get one last grant done to a non-profit. No upside to him. He was dying." I grew up “Ova East” in Chicago, the youngest of three….the only boy. My dad went to prison before I turned one, got out when I was 10, and then passed less than a year later. I was angry—lost, honestly. But I found football, and that became my way out. To say the least I grew up fast and had to navigate a lot early in life. Along the way, I had a lot of angels looking out for me, and I’m beyond grateful for the mother I have. Without her, I don’t think I would’ve learned to believe in myself so young. Who would’ve thought back then that I’d live this life? Made it to the NFL, had a solid career, met my wife in college, built a beautiful family, and now we’re building a business and a legacy. If I could talk to myself as a kid, I’d tell my young self, don’t worry, don’t compare. This test you’re in..One day, it’ll be your testimony. Love yourz 🙏🏽

Karl-Anthony Towns talks about feeling the presence of his late mother and the support he's gotten from his fiancé, Jordyn Woods: "Her presence is always felt in my life. You always pray you're going to pick the right woman for you and I know I did in my fiancé. I damn sure know now with that bag, that bag held it down. Shout-out to Woods by Jordyn. It's crazy, when she passed, there was so much turmoil in my life. Funny enough, my fiancé was the one, who was a friend at the time, was the only person I got to call before I had to go out there and say bye to her at the hospital. Me and her have a real bond that goes deeper than just physical features and everything like that. We've got a true friendship that was built from the ground up. I remember just always asking her if this was going to be my last time seeing her in the physical, let me feel her spirit at all times. In moments of true pressure and a lot of things going on, I always feel this calming come to me and it's always her. It's just great to always feel her arms around me and always to feel her love in my life, in so many different ways. It's a testament. I haven't felt love from a woman like that until I met my fiancé. It really means a lot that, in a way - without sounding weird - Jackie Jr. was able to be here celebrating this moment with me. It's amazing. It's truly a humbling feeling when you know you have walked the path. I stayed faithful. In every decision that I was supposed to make, I made the right one. Feels good to be at this moment."

GEMINI ART VENTURE FINALE #GeminiConcertD3 ♊️: its impossible for someone to be able to do absolutely everything and be good at all of it. but back then, i didnt know that. the only message i kept receiving was that i had to be the best, and that i had to be able to do everything. so i did it, that’s why i got to try doing many different things, like everyone has seen in this concert. i got to try learning how to sing, got to try playing sports with my friends, got to try joining a band, got to try entering gmmtv contest, i got to have this many fans. if there hadnt been those expectations placed on me back then, maybe there wouldnt be the version of me you see today either ♊️: but everyone, you dont have to apologize at all for expecting things from me. i want everyone to have very high expectations of me bc if we are going to have a concert, or if we are going to have a piece of work, then its right that there should be people who expect something from it. and i’m trying to do my best to meet those expectations (🥺❤️‍🩹) ♊️: i also want to be able to do what everyone hopes for, bc personally i see myself as a lazy person. i’m the kind of person who.. like i said, i didnt know what i should become when i grew up, i didnt have a passion. so when people expect things from me, when they want me to do something like this, i may want to do it in the way they expect of me. that is my driving force. so thank you very much for expecting things from me, there is no need to apologize at all (🫂)

Bucky Irving reveals his dad died when he was 2 and his 15 year old brother was killed when his childhood home was shot up, but says one of the hardest parts of escaping that environment was realizing success required separation from bad influences and that meant saying no to friends and family who weren’t making the same sacrifices he was, like getting up at 4:50am every morning to workout “What really motivates me every day… I lost my dad when I was two years old, so I never really got a chance to meet him. I always keep that in the back of my head, like, what if I had a dad? How would my life be?” “I lost my grandma… Then when I was in school my freshman year, I got a call and, my little brother had been killed at 15 years old. Just being there, the environment and the area that I grew up in… My house being shot up. It was just a whole bunch of things.” “I used to ask my mom, how did my dad die? She said from gun violence and being in the streets. I was always around that stuff, but I always tried to go a different route. The hardest thing is growing up with your close friends and then, it comes to a point where you got to separate yourself.” “Because they’re not on the same thing you’re on. And it hurt. It hurt bad. It ain’t easy, bro, saying no to your family members that been there for you. But at the end of the day, I'm the one getting up at 4:50 in the morning, going and working my ass off. At the end of the day, you gotta say no, and gotta lock in at some point.”

🚨KEEP OUR TROOPS IN YOUR PRAYERS AMERICA! I just returned from seeing my boy off . To showcase this music, I built a video around the A-10 Warthog… the aircraft built to protect our men on the ground when everything is on the line. Before anything else… I’m asking for prayer for American troops and military personnel overseas. This got personal… Before he deployed, my son took one of my old tracks… from when I was a young father… when we did everything together… Nitro RC cars… late nights on Halo… just building life side by side. We always had one rule… Don’t let anyone touch your family. Stand your ground. Protect what matters. He turned that into his own song… His words. His style. But the same foundation. Family. Now he’s out there… Not talking about it… Living it. Defending people who don’t even realize what freedom costs. And I’m sitting here thinking… How many take this for granted… while our sons and daughters carry a weight most will never understand. It hits different when it’s your blood. Proud isn’t a big enough word. God bless our troops. 🇺🇸 #SilentMajoritySpeaks #AStoneGroove

LeBron James says one reason he lost the finals in 2011 was because he was playing the ‘villian’ role after joining Miami: “It was real bad. I took the Villian role. I let the media, I was young. I was 25 and a lot of people don’t understand that was the first time I ever left my home. Even when I got drafted by the Cavs I still stayed in Akron. When I made the decision to go to Miami my mindset was I wanted to do something different and treat it like college where you take the cap but also give back to the boys and girls club. We raised like $2.5-3M. I didn’t know the hate or backlash I was going to get from that. I allowed the media and everybody to put me in a dark place. That’s never been me. Anybody who knows me I’m just a big ass kid… I wore that black hat for a year. Even with me getting to the finals and the reason I played the way I played is because I wasn’t me.” (Via bobdoessports)

Evacuation in my country happens in different ways. And it is not always successful. More and more often, people have to walk on foot to safer areas where a car will be waiting for them to take them to a safer city. But the path to the car looks exactly as you see it... life-or rather, material possessions, is packed into bags and simply wheeled along in a garden cart. Sometimes, an immobile person might be sitting in such a garden cart, and I have shown you videos like that. Along the way, the war shows its traces, because there are no surviving houses left along the path, everything has been erased, and there are craters from strikes that one has to walk around. I understand very well that there were people who simply did not reach the safer areas, who didn't make it because of a russian drone, or simply because they ran out of health and strength… Frontline village of Mayak, Dnipropetrovsk region - the evacuation of the last residents of this village.

Evacuation in my country happens in different ways. And it is not always successful. More and more often, people have to walk on foot to safer areas where a car will be waiting for them to take them to a safer city. I met Jesus when I was seven years old at Champion Fourth Baptist Church. Years later, my faith was tested in combat. I flew 55 missions over Baghdad. Before every flight, I knelt at the back of that helicopter, said the Lord’s Prayer, and got right with God, because there was no promise I’d make it home. I was raised in a family where service and sacrifice mattered. My dad served. My brother, sister, and I all graduated from West Point. That didn’t happen by accident. John 15:13 says there’s no greater love than laying down your life for your friends. We’re all imperfect, but the closest we can get to Christ is through service. That’s why I served in combat. And that’s why I’m running for Senate, to keep serving, to honor God, and to stand for the values Texans believe in: faith, family, and love of country.

My first MLB home run - a dream come true. My entire life led to this moment, but what happened 10 minutes before was the reason it came that night. I was in the cage preparing to pinch hit with our asst. hitting coach Donnie Ecker, and one of our roving hitting coaches Cody Atkinson. Great dudes and great coaches. The pitcher was Austin Adams, a right hander with a tough slider that he threw 90% of the time. After I got loose, my coaches set the machine up for a nasty back foot slider to mimic Adams. I hopped in and swung and missed at the first 3. Right where I want to be! Donnie and Cody told me to purposely swing and miss at the next 5. But, to do it missing inside and underneath the ball. It didn’t make any sense to me, and I was hoping to atleast touch a ball before I was in the game. But I trusted them and did what they told me. After those 5, it was time to go back to hitting. Still slightly confused, I proceeded to hit laser after laser. Whoa, that’s crazy. What missing on purpose that way did was dial in the bat path I needed to hit the slider in that location. Inside and underneath was now ingrained in my brain. Bench coach pops his head in - “O’Grady, if Tuck gets on you’re hitting”. Boom. I head to the dugout as our catcher Tucker Barnhart is walking up to the plate. He has a phenomenal at bat, working a walk. My turn. I did my routine, and stepped in the box. I laid off a slider in the dirt first pitch. “Nice take Brian” I tell myself. For a split second I thought about sitting on a slider. I quickly decided my usual approach gave me the best chance and I’d adjust if it was a good slider to hit. 96 mph fastball down and in – exactly where I was just working in the cage. Different pitch, but the same principle. I knew it was gone as soon as I hit it, and it felt like I was floating around the bases. Truly something I’ll never forget. All those years of playing and practicing, but a simple thought adjustment made it happen in Seattle.

Bill Ackman explains why he bought 5% of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange with his wife "A couple months after October 7th, I got a call from Rich Handler from Jefferies. He says, Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. I said, well, we actually haven't invested in Israel before." "He said the most you can invest is 25 million. It's just hard in the context of Pershing Square to make a $25 million investment. He says, Bill, take the meeting. Fine. I met these guys and I thought, wow, this is pretty interesting." "I pitched the team and the team said, Bill, we can't make a $25 million investment because it's going to take time and energy. Doesn't fit into a 12 stock portfolio and $20 billion of assets." "So I said, you know what? I want to be supportive of Israel. What better way to support capitalism in Israel than investing in the exchange. The only due diligence I did was I met the team." "I had to get approval from my compliance officer. So I bought 5% with my wife of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange."

When I started my first company back in 2012, I realized something big: Accountants are the heartbeat of every business—they’re the ones keeping everything honest behind the scenes. But, I also noticed they’re often stuck with outdated, manual tools, doing work that could and should be automated. This seemed almost designed to hold them back from reaching their full potential. So, 3 companies and many years later, we decided to build Puzzle— to give accountants the modern accounting tools they deserve. Over the past few months, we’ve been hearing more and more from hashtag#accountants about what they need to make their work faster and less repetitive, and it’s clear they’re ready for a change. In just under a year since launching to the public, Puzzle has: - Handled over $30B in transactions - Supported 3,000+ businesses, 400+ bookkeepers - Double our new signups last month alone! So, why do accountants deserve better tools? The reality is tough. - With 75% of accountants nearing retirement and 300K+ leaving the field, burnout is at an all-time high - Excel and QuickBooks have barely changed since the ’80s - Some in the industry tell clients to “fire their accountants” Puzzle has a different vision: empowering, not replacing, accounting professionals. Today, I’m thrilled to announce Puzzle’s next-gen accrual accounting solution, which automates 90% of an accountant’s routine tasks. Big shoutout to VentureBeat Michael Nuñez for covering our launch! Italian television report in Kosova: The testimony is that of a 12-year-old boy from the village of Lubizhdë, Kosova, and of his adult brother, who survived an execution. The boy Adem, 12 years old: I am 12 years old, my name is Adem, and I live in Lubizhdë a small village in Kosova, on the border with Albania. During the war, Serbian soldiers came and burned our houses. We all fled from the village and hid in the forest of the Mountain of Water. After three months, on April 12, 300 Serbian soldiers suddenly appeared and surrounded us.There were 250 people in total. After burning our huts, the Serbian soldiers, without any reason, took sixteen people and lined them up to be shot. One of them was my brother, Qerim. He was hit by two bullets, and I thought he was dead. The brother "the survivor":Just before they shot, I turned toward my family. As I looked at them for the last time, a machine-gun bullet grazed my forehead. I fell to the ground together with the others. Then a soldier fired a second burst that hit me in the hand. I heard the Serbs ordering the people from the village to scatter the bodies of those who had been shot in the forest. One of my relatives came closer. As he was pulling me, I told him: "Shh, be quiet, they must not realize that I am still alive." And so he hid me far away. The Serbian soldiers stayed for another two hours.I could hear them getting closer and closer because they had begun the massacre. When the Serbs left, I got up and found the corpses of my friends who had been massacred: without hands, without ears. The Serbs had torn out their eyes and cut off their legs. I remained hidden in the forest for ten days, wounded, but I managed to survive
