The cost of living has Americans losing it over how much we are forced to pay for things we already own Once you buy a car then you have to insure the car, then you have to pay to register the car every year, then you have to pay for Smogs and more I added all this up - Registration, License, Taxes & Fees averages $813 per year nationally (up to $1,000+ in CA) - Maintenance, Repairs & Tires roughly 800–$1,400 - Insurance is $1,694–$1,715 per year nationally, this is much higher in California - Fuel, Gas or Electricity is roughly $1,950 per year nationally The national average to one a new car in America is about $11,577 per year. This is on top of owning the car with interest fees This is ridiculous

Amkeni!!! The government has allocated KSh 95.25 per learner for essential school needs. 95 bob. Not per day, not per week, just 95. Look at the first picture then look at the shopping list for a grade 10 student. I bought exercise books and pens only right now because the money wasn’t enough to include all the requirements. Exercise books and pens cost us over 1000 shillings. What exactly is that 95 shillings supposed to cover in today’s economy? Exercise books alone costs like a thousand bob. Add textbooks maintenance, stationery, teachers’ guides… and somehow that same amount is expected to stretch across all of it? How? This is completely disconnected from reality. The cost of basic school supplies has gone up, transport has gone up, everything has gone up, but funding per child is sitting at an amount that can barely buy a decent pen and a few books.
