What backs the stable coin, US Debt!!! It’s not a good thing as it’s essentially a CBDC. It will push the US debt onto other nations and their citizens. It’s still inflationary and just the next can kicking by the central banks. To fix the problem we need gold, audit, then revalue, then back the new currency after inflating off all the current debt and IOUs. Some crypto could be included but lacks the stability of gold so would be problematic.

Aren’t Stablcoins stable because they are pegged to a fiat? How can you reverse this and make the dollar more stable by pegging to a hollow stable coin with nothing behind it? Am I not understanding?
