The latest from the #AvianInfluenza situation report for 13/07 - 23/08: - 13 outbreaks in poultry and 52 in non-poultry birds and mammals, in 12 countries in the the Americas, Asia and Europe. - More than 1.6 million poultry birds died or were culled, mostly in the Americas. - The # of new outbreaks notified in birds is currently relatively low, which is consistent with the known seasonality of HPAI in poultry - The public health risk of influenza A(H5N1) viruses has been assessed to be low. We have substantially completed the reconstruction of Tam Balogun Road in Ijebu-Ode, with all major asphalt works now finished under our administration’s ongoing drive to strengthen road infrastructure across Ogun State. The project is currently at about 98% completion, with only lane markings left to be carried out. With both the binder and final wearing courses in place, the road is fully motorable and already improving movement, safety, and travel time for residents and road users. This is one of several strategic road projects we are delivering to ease transportation, support local economic activities, and make daily commuting smoother for our people, as we continue to build a better and more connected Ogun State. #BuildingOurFutureTogether #RoadInfrastructure #DapoAbiodun

🇨🇦🦃💵📈 : CPC MP Rachel Thomas roasts Liberal MP Ryan Turnbull after he suggested the school food program as a solution for starving seniors. A turkey that cost $25 four years ago now costs $40 in BC. This is because 8.7 million poultry birds have been culled in British Columbia. This is due to the failed H5N1 "stamp out" policy that sees the BC poultry supply chronically being culled at a rate of 60% of all Canadian birds culled. If the CPC were serious about discussing food inflation they should be addressing this failed policy, as a root cause.
