It’s just an evaporative swamp cooler. Don’t work that well and deposit a huge amount of humidity into the space making all the air not near the “cooler” feel worse and even more hot and disgusting. There’s a reason nobody uses them they been around a long time

I'm already exhausted. I don't know if that's for high humidity areas. All I can think of is mosquito larvae thriving in that structure
