Exploring how 2D schematics can transition naturally into 3D Made this app with Kimi K3 The tank is fully generated with code. Super easy to swap it out for something else

While I’m exploring new types of robots that models can come up with, I also want them to generate accurate schematics of their designs. So I’ve been trying a few things out. more demos to come

Schematics are only half the problem. You probably also want the robots to look good. Here’s a demo where I played around with different materials.

Got the tank idea while I was working on this game’s pixel view → 3D view transition. Tried it with both Opus 5 and Kimi K3. Although the Opus result wasn’t bad, Kimi’s was better.

hi Dilium, Made this app with Kimi K3: how could we get it to apply for a personal project... will safe me a lot of time

u got the code? looks pretty cool. could be great for like RC cars and DIY drones

Great example of where K3 shines: visual coding. Its frontend output caught my eye too, so I turned one design pattern into a reusable agent skill and tested it across two completely different brands 👇

awesome!

This is genuis I wanted to know how you make them ?

Will Kimi k3 run on M6 mini 32gb ram?

I have one of their plans, so I’m using the online version. Haven’t tried running it locally yet.

You going hard on the free tier 🔥

this one was not done on free tier, I have one of their paid plans

Welll i mean technically it could be free

yeah!

Thats crazy

thanks

相当漂亮,真棒👍🥰

谢谢!

Impressive!

thanks

Very cool!

thanks Rick

What library used ???

three.js

Woww 🔥

thanks

Super cool

thanks Alexander

awesome!

thanks Rai

That looks amazing!

thanks!

Any live links ? where i can play with it

Great work

thanks

Code-driven 3D generation from 2D schematics is the kind of workflow leap that changes everything. Moving from flat files to fully interactive assets like this is seamless.

That is cool! Your whole range of work is fantastic!

thanks David, I try to make each demo unique

What’s this type of visualization called ?

You can add something like “blueprint” or “schematic view” to your prompt. Also, make sure to add something like “implement it with post-processing and shaders.” Otherwise, models tend to do it by just adding lines to Three.js objects, which doesn’t look that good.

very cool

thanks Marcus

you should create more videos on the process and upload to youtube

will try, thanks

What is the platform where this 3d objects are being rendered onto

it is a web app made with three.js

Fk u for gatekeeping the same prompt you reuse to farm

This is heavenly

thanks

That is very cool to see

thanks

好有创意,很棒

谢谢!

你是顶尖的工程师

really nice, the engineering annotations around the model sell the blueprint feel

thanks Adam

Amazing work 👏🏻

thanks

Banger 🔥🔥🔥

thanks Karlina

that's cool asf

thanks

Crazzzzy, Kimi K3 ❤️🔥

haha yeah!

Ok this is cool. I did a tiger once in blender. Love tanks

thanks

isnt Kimi costlier

for something like this I'd say K3 on max and Opus 5 on max cost about the same.
