Here is a similar one I made with Kimi K3

Since I get a lot of questions about prompts, I almost none of my demos are made with a single prompt. Sure, once you see the final result, you might be able to come up with one prompt that gets you there. But when I start, I usually have no idea what the final result is going to be, so I wouldn’t even know how to write that single prompt. I usually just think of something unique and see how far I can push a model in a couple of hours. A single prompt can work well when you know exactly what you want. But when you’re experimenting, shorter prompts are often better because they help you quickly understand what works, what doesn’t, and what direction to take without wasting tokens.

the hard part is keeping the measurements right. does it understand the schematic, or just make a nice looking shape?

You have been on 🔥. What is your fav model. I noticed you are bouncing between them. Have you noticed you like the way one model does things vs the other?

Thanks! Yeah, I usually try the same idea with all the models and then pick the result I like best to post. Right now, I think GPT-6 is probably the best overall, but it’s expensive. That said, I tried the tank one I linked here with GPT-6, and I couldn’t get it to do it as well as Kimi K3 did. And for something like building a game, I think Opus 5 is probably the cheapest option.

Great insight. It’s a lot of fun to iterate and see these models can build.

Architects spent years mastering CAD and Revit just for GPT-6 Astra to extrude flat blueprints into full 3D spatial models in seconds.

is the sketchy look custom built or some blueprint software?

are the 2D drawings generated from the 3D model, or did you have to line up two separate versions?

Dilum Sanjaya's profile picture

no 3D models it is all code, but yeah it is the same 3D objects transitioning between the 3D and schematic views

got it, same objects in both views 👌 this could be great for teaching how a floor plan maps to the actual space

the transition from 2D to 3D often reveals insights that flat designs miss

The moment the flat drawing lifts into the room is really satisfying. Made with one prompt or a lot of back and forth?

not one prompt

The 2D to 3D jump is the real bottleneck.

very smooth transitions but its more effective if you clear out the noisy images components around it. Less is more.
