FAA, We do not need “diversity”. We need competence.

Why do you want diverse perspectives when someone is directing a plane to land or takeoff? Maybe have them fly upside down or backwards 😕

So well said Jeffery. WTF is a "distinct perspective" when it comes to air traffic controllers and how would that be a benefit? If anything, I would think we need them to have very similar perspectives. They are not designing clothing or selling real estate.

There are no distinct perspectives when working in air traffic control. There is the physical reality that can be seen by humans and that’s it.

Excellence in this job is mandatory! A DEI hire could be disastrous. The plane crash 9/28/25 investigators will find the fault and errors of what went wrong and I pray no one died for DEI

We don’t need perspectives in control towers…. At all….. we need competence and professionalism with attention to detail and discipline.

Trump mentioned this as a qualification of the air traffic controllers that the previous administration has hired! Most people require assistance just to maintain a regular lifestyle. Why would anyone hire them for this position? There are hundreds of other positions that they could fulfill in the process of trying to live a normal life!!
