I don't think you've understood the nature of the warning about 1.5°. It was not a claim that, if we reach 1.5°, we'll be in big trouble. It was that, if we _land on_ 1.5°, we will likely be OK. What we are doing, though, is not landing on that number. We are blowing past it.
