$Unity includes a tool for baking SDF textures: 🧊 I made this experimental shader for fully volumetric glass shaped to any object using a 3D distance texture. Handles layered self-refraction in a single pass (look at the ears, when the model is rotated), + explicit backface rendering via another camera -> texture pass. I don't have clear plans to add this to PRISM, but it's something I wanted to try out as a morning experiment (R&D, rendering/optics, performance -- for later).$

For my 3d simulation I needed to implement new rendering. To replace "sphere par particle" with marching cubes. I never implemented that kind of stuff, so I decided to first try a simplified 2d version, the marching squares. It worked, very fast rendering now.

Skate 3 has been 100% recompiled for PC. It's reached it's 2.0 update which introduces a fully native renderer enabling 2x+ the FPS at 1/4 the GPU power, and Apple Silicon went from 25 to 250 FPS at 4K. Originally starting with rexglue, progression has advanced far enough to fully abandon its reliance on emulation via xenia for GPU rendering. This is proof of what's possible, there is plenty to be excited for! Go try it out!!
