Finally implemented texture blending on the terrain. The tile textures still need some work but it looks much better up close and gives me a lot more options than the giant single texture I was using for so long

Looks awesome! Maybe you could use the normal of the terrain to blend between different detail textures. Or use a noise texture to blend between different detail textures to avoid the repetitive pattern. By using abs(normal.y) as blend factor you can fade in details on mountains.
