You can use Animated Texture resource with Projective Textures. Here I have created this caustics effect in my Apple Vision Pro app using a Low Level Texture API released last year on VisionOS. The Orb has a Bloom Component on it creating a beautiful glow.

I’m trying to re-texture my avatar in #EmoteLab it’s very cute! > Texture Cache > CoffeeBean > Custom Textures - Go back to EmoteLab and click Reload Textures. Method 2: Easier Way to Edit Textures Directly - Go to Settings → Open Character Folder. - Find the version you are using, then open your character folder. - Click Regions. - You will find the textures used by the character there. You can edit these textures directly as well. 💡Tip: I recommend editing the WeightTransfer folder first, then Click Unload Current Model and Load the model again to refresh the textures. Finally, You will get your own EmoteLab texture!!

The new “Zoom” feature on Vision Pro can upgrade your actual vision to Pro. It’s by far the best implementation of this familiar accessibility feature on any Apple platform. You can resize the magnifying glass, zoom with the Digital Crown, and drag it anywhere. I used it to closely inspect all the beautiful new icons in the visionOS 26 release — but you can also use it to zoom into your real environment. It’s so cool, I felt like a proper cyborg.

I've been working with caustics for a while in #webGPU and one of the issues I find is that it's hard to handle caustics for complex scenes. It's easy for planes, you can save photons in a texture using either compute and atomics, or additive blending with the rasteriser. 🧵

I love how quickly you can meet people, make connections, and explore each other’s profiles. It also features one of the most beautiful UX designs I’ve tried on visionOS. Everything feels incredibly polished. The app launches this Friday, March 27. They’re hosting an in app launch party this Friday at 1PM PDT. Hope you can make it.

Virtual Textures in the Browser. This is a WebGL 2.0 implementation I did in 2023. The car model is from Sketchfab by Pavel Matoušek. It's a worst-case for virtual textures because the texture is generated from photogrametry software and has pathologically bad UV layout. The texture is 16,384 x 16,384 pixels, which is 180 Mb of PNG data. Loading this in Blender would crash Blender for me back then. The GPU memory requirement for this texture is 1 Gb. The VT displays the model after loading just 34 Kb (one tile). The other tiles are fetched in via a smart priority queue in the background as you move camera around the scene. The physical page texture is 2k, which is 16 times smaller than the source. The solution supports multiple separate virtual textures, and has GLTF integration. Texture filtering as well as anisotropy are fully supported as well. You can try the demo yourself here: Here's a writeup I did while working on this: The video recorded on a very crummy internet connection and I intentionally reload the page in the middle. The delay comes from the geometry download, actual texture part is near-instant.

The unboxing itself was extremely fun — though I did feel a bit guilty about my old Vision Pro. I made her watch the whole thing… so now you can too now. If you have a Vision Pro, you can watch the spatial version in the comments.

Apple Vision Pro lets me show you my point of view like no other camera. Here I get a ride in @ScottevestCEO’s Ferrari on a perfect day. Near Valley of Fire state park in Nevada. If you watch it in a Vision Pro it is next level. Will post that link in a minute in reply. Tracking is a problem. Off you want to do this you have to turn on travel mode and do many tries. Often it loses tracking and stops recording.
