Good video. But also

Daniel!!

jeremy, what… what are the airtags for? all your stuff is on your back what are you tracking lmao

Bro I'm not a turtle I can take my backpack off! Today I left it at the gym when I went on a run and at a coworking space for most of the rest of the day

that’s one airtag! there were multiple airtags!!

1 in wallet and 2 in bag for redundancy since airtags break/run out of battery often

thank you, i was genuinely confused lol

No real downside? I know this gives girls the ick

Awesome life

I am now making it my life’s mission to steal your backpack

@maxmvsgrave Several have tried, none have succeeded, good luck!

every single meal out? how many meals a day do you eat, i assume less than 3… i did the nomadic slow travel thing and got tired of eating out very quickly, became very efficient about grocery shopping/cooking with limited tools

Between my daily gym/30k steps/running I burn a lot of calories every day, so... 5. You're right that it's all about being efficient

How are your costs of living low if you're eating out in NYC for every meal?

Worst part about this is a grown man calling his apartment homebase

I don’t think you’re alone. I see people everyday on the streets who carry all their belongings in a grocery bag or two, sometimes they use a shopping cart.

This should have blown up harder. I think the hardest part would not being having costumes for costume parties

Can always buy/make one then gift to a friend after! Would keep costumes fresh Yeah I’m old school twitter I don’t understand how videos work on here. I don’t mind since it got me +40k followers on ig but one day I’ll figure it out here

It’s all good. I’m still figuring it out too, though I’ve only been on since 2009

You were a significant portion of my feed 2014-2018 when I was last active here! Always great to see familiar names still around whenever I return

Absolute legend. You’re an inspiration. I’m far from your level but I am moving in that direction

8.5 liters 😮 and I thought @VitalikButerin's 40 liter setup was compact

When and how do you wash you clothes, socks, underwear etc? Or do you own multiples

imagine the smell

Found your site looking for ways to streamline my packing in 21 and vibed with it instantly. Everyone else seemed obsessed with shilling merino and convincing you they don't stink Main thing i've been curious about is how you make a living/get work done since it's indefinite

im here for this except for the eating out every day

How do you fund this lifestyle?

How do you survive without a permanent (or relatively stable) mailing address?

When I was in my 20s, I sold most of everything I owned, packed and I traveled with 1 suitcase only. And I thought that was impressive as people I met were commenting how 'impossible it was to do'. But yours is next level! And I agree, I also really love the detached, untethered freedom it gave me travelling (especially when you still have no dependent). All the best on your travels!

Very cool but why do you need a MacBook and an iPad

I think a longer video wouldn’t be minimalist :-). I’ve been following your Reddit post for a few years and when I lived in Europe, I was a prolific One bagger when travelling (Patagonia MLC 30). It’s definitely liberating it not having to worry about checking in or buying extra capacity for a trip, also being able to carry your bag on your back without having to store it after checking out out of a hotel. I’m married now, and although I convinced my wife to one bag for a little bit, I just know those days are behind me. But whenever I travel by myself, I attempt to one bag.

wait-- does your home base have bed? or do you just sleep on a floor? is there a kitchen/ fridge? do you ever have leftovers? do you stock drinks? have wifi? I have many questions!

Great video! My friend @zachklein sent it to me — much respect 🫡

@zachklein Thank you Nick!! 🙌

Get over it. Have children.

What do you do in a cold winter situation, you don't have any thermal clothing?

First thing I took out of the bag was a down jacket, the world's warmest down jacket by weight! Layered with everything else I'm good even in nyc winter (0f/-15c)

Not all legends wear capes, and some don't even dabble in trivialities like COLOR This is cool Jeremy, make more videos!

Incredibly materialistic lifestyle

how do you fit into it each night

Why do you have two passports?

What kind of clothes do you have? They must be multi functional

Why don't you leave the passport at the home base on non-flying days? Why the the starting photo show an iPad?

saw this IG first, love it! would love to know how you manage your schedule in between all the travelling? gym, eating well, sleep etc.

Bro where do you sleep

youll own nothing and be happy. They will push vids of minimalistic lives so we can think its normal when the time actually comes. Backpacking and vehicle transformation are the new American Dream?

A rolling stone gathers no moss
