Jeff Teague tells a story about James Johnson not making the team on the Hawks, because a pickup baseball game: “I remember when things went a little different and you came to the Hawks. I was like, “Damn, JJ going to be on the Hawks with me.” Because he made, he was on the team, but my n***a so competitive. He was about to make the team. So competitive. They love him. Be talking to me like JJ, man. This is what we was missing. It’s the perfect piece. But we go play baseball. And this dude, we call him good at everything. Like we call him, we say he’s great at life. He does everything well. So I didn’t know this n***a could play baseball, right? So we playing baseball. I’m okay. Kyle Korver real good. I’m so happy for coach. UTSA just walked into a million dollar$+ NIL team, with all the resources in the world and beat them. While we are still playing in our high school field with a tenth of their resources and found a way to win. Heck yeah!! This is what it’s all about!

This High School baseball coach sounds like has his hands full. I feel for him. He kicked this senior off the baseball team. Listen to the senior laugh and then try to degrade the coach. When asked why he was kicked off he said the reason was they took him out of the game (for who knows what) and they didn’t speak to him about it. So, he got on his phone in the dugout and was texting with his mom telling her to not bother to come to the game. Everyone knows you aren’t to be on your phone in high school during a game. Just by listening to the student and also the fact the coach had an officer present, I can tell what I already need to know. Sounds like the coach is trying to turn a program around. Do you think the coach made the right decision? Context is everything I know, but listening to him, can’t you kind of gather what the issue is? Who thinks this is exactly what is wrong with our younger generation?
