I’m kind of amazed they hired a contractor for that. I’m a big supporter of the trades, no question about it, but I wouldn’t waste a plumber’s time to unscrew a plate and pull out a clump of hair.

People are so lazy…. Just check the drain use a non corrosive drain cleaner and or a snake. If worse comes to worse, you then call.
