who's paying for this! same with speedhumps, pay to install (build) speedhumps and after install speed cameras for 20 miles/hour, in the end anyway can't drive more than 20m/h because there is no money to cover the potholes in the same road.

The police are lying again! They say that "privacy rights are protected" regarding Flock surveillance cameras. The very existence of a network of cameras that tracks our movements is a violation of our privacy. Carpenter vs United States (2018): "...individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the comprehensive record of their physical movements." No safeguards can be created that can undo that violation. The cameras must come down!

Los Angeles Police Department is ending their agreement with Flock cameras LAPD says there are concerns about privacy but they knew that when they signed up, that’s not the real reason The real reason Democrats were worried about federal access to these cameras being used for ICE immigration enforcement Democrats are more about the privacy rights of their illegal voters than they do American citizens This is also being pushed by The ACLU and similar organizations which have campaigned against Flock nationwide, noting sharing with ICE for deportations and calling for cities to end contracts. Over 50+ localities have done so partly over these issues So it has nothing to do with privacy, it’s all about protecting their illegals

A FOIA request revealed that, in just one town, third parties accessed camera data more than 500,000 times in only nine weeks. Safety. The problem is it hasn't worked that way. Harris County, Texas has over 3,000 license plate readers. You would think it would be the safest place in the United States, but weirdly, Harris County, Texas had over 500 murders in 2025. How is it that we increase the surveillance past what 1984 describes, and we still have 500 murders in one U.S. county” The data backs this up Advocacy groups such as the Texas Civil Rights Project have identified that there are nearly 3,800 Flock cameras in the surrounding greater Houston area The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has reported access to around 480 of these cameras Yet the murder rate is extremely high Harris County recorded about 503 homicides in 2024 We need to get rid of Flock cameras while we still can, this is about mass surveillance
