A 15-year-old on an electric dirt bike led authorities on a dangerous pursuit in Naples, Florida on Tuesday after speeding and performing stunts on a sidewalk, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was caught when he "rode down a hill and into a ditch," causing his bike to get stuck. Deputies then took him into custody and charged the teen with fleeing and eluding law enforcement.

This Scorpio N driver was on his way to an urgent destination where it was important for him to reach, but in the rush, he forgot to check the fuel level in his car. Halfway through the journey, the fuel ran out, causing the car to stop in the middle of the road. He became worried because reaching his destination was important, and no one was helping him. Then a young man arrived on a bike. The driver explained his problem to him. The biker started his Splendor, sat on the bike, and used one of his legs to push the nearly 2,000 kg Scorpio N all the way to a fuel station, helping the driver reach it. After refueling, the driver was able to continue his journey and complete his urgent work. A salute to the strength of the biker. Using only one leg while riding his bike, he managed to push such a big and heavy car all the way to the fuel station

Walton County Sheriff's Office, Florida is seeing an increase in electric dirt bikes, also called “e-motos”, being ridden in neighborhoods and on public roads. Monday, six of these electric dirt bikes were impounded and citations were issued to juveniles 11-14 years old. Many Do NOT have pedals, have high-powered motors, and are designed only for off-road use. Under Florida law, these vehicles are NOT street legal. It’s illegal to ride electric dirt bikes or "e-motos" on public roads, bike lanes, and sidewalks in Walton County. Driving an unregistered, electric dirt bike on a public road can lead to citations, fines, impoundment, and a mandatory court date. Parents are responsible for making sure e-motos are used legally and safely. Even if it was a gift for Christmas and thought to be an e-bike, many of these are electric dirt bikes and the rules of the road are different. Allowing a child to ride an e-moto on streets or sidewalks puts them and everyone around them at serious risk.
