Earlier today, Alberta’s government announced that as teachers and students return to the classroom this week we will be taking immediate action to reduce class sizes and address classroom complexity. We will be appointing a Class Size and Complexity Task Force, who will begin work in three important areas. 1️⃣ Collecting and publicly releasing class size and complexity data, which will help inform which classrooms are most in need of supports and resources. 2️⃣ Implement solutions from the final report of the Aggression and Complexity in Schools Action Team, which will be released soon. 3️⃣ Begin working with school boards, teachers, educational assistants to review and replace the 2004 Standards for Special Education.

Great News Nigeria 🇳🇬 Earlier today at the G20 Summit in Rio, the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a very fruitful meeting with the IMF Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva who commended the bold reforms initiated under his leadership. These reforms, though challenging, are showing positive results, and the IMF is fully supportive of the administration's efforts. They pledged technical assistance in key areas: 1️⃣ Budget design and implementation to maximise impact and drive economic recovery. 2️⃣ Fiscal, monetary, and structural reforms to create more fiscal space for growth. 3️⃣ Support for accessing concessionary funding to finance key projects. 4️⃣ Guidance on cost-effective borrowing policies to ensure tangible benefits for Nigerians. The IMF also applauded our social safety net programme, which is cushioning the impact of subsidy removal for the most vulnerable. With their support and the government's commitment, we’re on track to stabilise the economy and bring relief to Nigerians.
