A dogfight took place over the Pyramids between a U.S. Air Force F-16C Block 52 and an Egyptian Rafale DM during the Bright Star 2025 exercise. Although the French Rafale is usually stronger on paper, its pilot was outmatched by the experienced U.S. pilot and lost the fight at the 18-second mark of the first video.

Pilot of a Single-engine Flyer Pelican 500BR makes a textbook emergency landing on a highway in Garuva, in the north of Santa Catarina, Brazil. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), there were two people on board, the pilot and the owner of the plane, and no one was injured. The incident occurred around 11:50 am on Saturday at kilometer 15 of the highway, towards Porto Alegre (RS), according to the PRF. The police reported that the occupants of the plane left the Guaramirim aeroclub, also in the north of Santa Catarina, bound for the same place, but an engine failure forced the pilot to make an emergency landing on the highway.

With a hydraulics failure and landing gear stuck up, he gently set a 200-ton Boeing 767 onto its belly. All 231 people survived. The visuals show that the aircraft went down while flying. Which means there was no mid-air explosion... The visuals show that the aircraft faced a loss of power... The loss of power can be due to engine malfunction, but it is very unlikely that both engines would lose power simultaneously... It is a very big engine, and it is rare that both engines lose power due to a bird hit in a one-minute duration... The pilot gave a mayday call. This means that the failure was seen in the cockpit... They went airborne while combating that failure... I don't understand why the landing gear was still down... The landing gear is raised as soon as the flight takes off... Since the landing gear was down, it is possible that a loss of engine was detected beforehand... There are many variables, and any speculation would be unjust... The biggest question is why the landing gear was not up. The flight was at a height of 600 feet... Whether it was one problem or multiple problems, no one can say anything yet..."

Russell Crowe as Jor-El in Man of Steel is an example of outstanding casting. For my money, the Oscar-winner is the best part of Man of Steel & far and away a better Jor-El than Marlon Brando. Crowe’s a steady hand throughout the ups and downs of this film. A great performance.
