For a game released back in 2007, Crysis was way ahead of its time

It was 10 years ahead in terms of graphics. Unfortunately also in terms of system requirements. You need a 1080 Ti to run it at 4K 80 fps at max settings. This did not even include AA

I think one other factor is probably because the game was also developed with single core CPUs in mind. The devs thought we’d only get faster single core CPUs instead of multi-core CPUs, resulting in bottleneck for future hardware

Yep remember playing that game like it was yesterday. Mindblowing graphics back in the day. Melted PCs too.

They may say whatever they want, but my PC I played crysis back then wouldnt be able to run most of today indiegames

I bought the trilogy, They just dont make em like this anymore. 100% completion across the whole series, zero regrets. Peak gaming right here. Name a better franchise. I’ll wait.

For a game release in 2025 many game are behind of its time.
