This Chinese tester puts 3 intelligent driving systems to the test in a construction zone: Huawei ADS, LI AD Max and Tesla FSD, all of which are installed with the currently available software versions in China. FSD is the only one that successfully navigates the zone without any issue. Both ADS and AD Max give up either because it can’t perceive the environment properly or lack of navigation map data. He points out NGP almost always comes to an abrupt halt when humans or mopeds get real close or cross intersections as evidenced in this clip, even though there is ample time to gradually slow down, making driving extremely uncomfortable.
