As someone with lived experience, outdated attitudes within the NHS, particularly in Accident and Emergency (A&E) departments, often lead to our needs being misunderstood or overlooked. This creates anxiety for us and our families, who are concerned about our safety. A&E departments must prioritize understanding and making accommodations to ensure that everyone feels safe in healthcare. #HealthcareForAll #DisabilityRights #NHSEquality

We have a broken healthcare system that must be fixed, but the solution in the short-term isn't to deny people of the ACA tax credits that they rely on. We must extend these subsidies so people aren't kicked off their healthcare next month, *and* we need Medicare for All so that people aren't forced to choose between healthcare and other basic necessities.

Nurses are the foundation of our healthcare system. Their dedication, selflessness, and empathy are what make families feel safe leaving their loved ones in their care. Our immigration system is cruel, chaotic, and broken. In Dilley, I met dozens of families desperate for help because they have done nothing wrong and are suffering in prison while the system fails to function. These families, these children, are not a threat. It shouldn't take a chance encounter with a Member of Congress to have access to justice. I'm relentlessly fighting for better.

The way to fix the NHS is to fund it properly Dr Chaand Nagpaul, "Many of our European nations provide a more accessible service... But the NHS has a gross deficit compared to our European neighbours" "An average European country has 30% more doctors.. There are twice as many more doctors in Germany than the UK" "There are three times more hospital beds in Germany compared to the UK, twice as many in France" "So that's why they have better healthcare more easily" "An insurance system would diminish funds into the NHS" "And Belgium, which was given as an example has twice the administrative costs of the NHS'" "Changing the NHS to an insurance based system will not help the NHS..
