These bus stops are not safe or accessible for blind people. The bus has to be able to pull up directly to the kerb so blind people can get on and off the bus directly to and from the pavement without having to cross a cycle lane first. As we explained in our evidence.

Sadly Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (aka Better Streets/Liveable Neighbourhoods etc.) all discriminate against disabled people, their carers and friends & family. Stop the government sanctioned disabled discrimination NOW.

This is the tragedy for blind and visually impaired people when it comes to routing cycles lanes on pavements at bus stops. This has to stop.

Like to remind @TransportCttee of @Keir_Starmer words @Paralympics in Paris last year in response to @Tanni_GT having to crawl off a train when assistance failed to show up. This commitment includes all forms of transport. @LordPeterHendy this includes buses.
