So today, I’ve issued an executive order designed to speed up the development of new clean nuclear power so we can increase our electricity supply and secure our energy future. My goal is to deliver at least two gigawatts of new clean nuclear capacity in our state — enough to power up to two million Illinois homes. For Illinois households and businesses, expanded supply will make electricity less expensive, more reliable, and cleaner — while creating thousands of jobs and maintaining our state’s status as a net energy exporter.
