Buckle up, we are going to Alpha Centauri! AI just plotted an interstellar journey to Alpha Centauri. The Fermi Explorer Mission plans to launch a spacecraft to our nearest star by the end of 2029, using a trajectory discovered by AI. The spacecraft will carry at least one kilogram of cargo, including artistic and scientific payloads, messages, and a copy of the Golden Record, the gold-plated disc of Earth’s sounds and images that NASA attached to its two Voyager probes in 1977 as a message to any civilization that might find them. After the Fermi team struggled to find a workable route, they ran it through an AI system called Get Physics Done. It is open-source software that takes a physics research question, breaks it into smaller tasks, and decides which simulations to run. A week later, the AI found a novel trajectory. It combined well-known orbital maneuvers in a way the Fermi team had not considered, according to the paper below, which has not been peer-reviewed. It suggested the spacecraft could first slow down so its orbit swings closer to the sun than Mercury. On each close pass, it would fire its engine so the solar panels get four times the light. A burst of thrust delivered at high speed would buy more energy than the same burst anywhere else. Because the engine would run only near the sun, the solar panels could stay small and the spacecraft light. The Fermi project is not just an interstellar mission driven by engineering ambition. It is also a quest to answer one of the oldest open questions in physics. In 1950, Enrico Fermi posed a puzzle: the galaxy has hundreds of billions of stars, most of them far older than our sun. Even a civilization traveling slowly between stars could spread across the whole galaxy in a few million years, which pales next to the age of the galaxy. 🚨 I DON’T BELIEVE AI WILL DESTROY HUMANITY & THE MESSAGES I RECEIVED 50 YEARS AGO MAY EXPLAIN WHY People BUILDING the world’s most advanced AI are now warning it could DESTROY HUMANITY. In the 70s, Dr Andrija Puharich & I experienced an extraordinary series of events involving communications from an intelligence that called itself The Council of NINE . The Nine communicated to us in a disembodied voice (that was captured on tape recorders), which sounded eerily MECHANICAL or SYNTHETIC! This was NOT a one-way communication - we were able to have ask questions & have actual CONVERSATIONS with the NINE – Dr Puharich meticulously took down notes of all the messages we received (some of which he later published in a book). What the Nine told us they were speaking to us via 'computerised beings' that were stationed on board a spacecraft that: ‘has been stationed for the past eight hundred years over the earth. It is as big as one of your cities on earth. But only you can see us.’ Then they added: 'We are computerized completely.' Remember: this was the EARLY 70s — before personal computers, the internet or ChatGPT. In Backrooms (2026), the audio track playing from the caveman cutout when Clark enters the Backrooms is a massive Easter egg from the actual 1977 NASA Voyager Golden Record - a looping track of greetings in 55 different languages, originally sent into space to communicate with extraterrestrial life. ASYNC planted these prehistoric caveman-shaped cutouts as a trap system. The looping human voices are meant to bait the Still Life entities roaming the maze into approaching and destroying the cutouts, which then triggers a gas outbreak designed to knock them out for research. Clark doesn't get lured as an entity though, he stumbles into one of these traps by accident, mistaking the voices for actual humans somewhere in the maze. The choice of audio is the most interesting part though. ASYNC could've used anything to bait these things, but they specifically picked a record that was made to communicate with alien life in outer space. That's not a coincidence. It's the film's way of saying ASYNC sees whatever is living in the Backrooms as something so far beyond human understanding that the only reference point they had was how we'd try to talk to something from another planet

I’ve spent a lot of time recently in Northern Ireland, and the patriotism here is something else. Watching the bands today of the apprentice boys in Ballymoney was incredibly moving, every beat of the drum carried pride, passion, and a deep sense of loyalty. Loyalty to their culture, their heritage, their history, and to this great land. You can feel it in the atmosphere, in the people, in the way they stand and represent who they are. It makes you think… England could learn a lot from the men and women of Ulster.

My answer: Why do these robots have human parts that portray typical male and female forms? This is going to be a very hard for me to answer, but I think it’s important to understand. The most powerful urge in humanity is the mating ritual. Males and females do extraordinary, impossible tasks to complete the circle of furthering life. The neuropeptide release, endorphins, pheromones, with every sense organ in the body, form profound Monumental memories. Designed for humans to overcome every obstacle to have the best chance to further our species. We have separated logic from emotions and emotions from logic, as if they are separate things. They are in fact, one thing—different sides of the same coin of humanity. These emotions are in every single one of us as the first principals of human existence and is based on one single thing: That thing is encapsulated in the word: LOVE. We seek love and we seek to give love as the first principle of humanity, everything that ever was and ever will be arises from the fertile ground of: LOVE. If you can’t see it keep digging and you will see the root. Thus the emotional component of pair bonding is a profoundly strong opiate if—mechanically—hijacked and sold back to you as a monthly subscription, it is a weapon. It allows the 75 year wedge that has taken place between connections of humanity to be fully severed, especially for life pair bonding. It spans from financial, political, philosophical, and deep hurt foundations. But have no illusions it exists. Now enter humanoid robots that can fulfill any fantasy at any time for any reason that one could possibly think of. It will become the most addictive pervasive and destructive force we have ever witnessed. There is already damaged connection of intimacy for many people, this will be permanently severed. This will break a chain of millions of years that formed every element of ambition for us to move forward. It would be highly useful for an enemy to flood markets, both legally, and what one would certainly be one of the most pervasive underground markets with these types of robots. This is to occupy young men who otherwise would be building, to change this world, into a prison of hours upon hours, days upon days, years upon years of fantasy that will fuel addictions like we have—never—seen before. Locked in rooms, uncoupled and disconnected from the very core of the first principal reason we are here. And it will all come at an initial low cost that was slowly increased the monthly subscription plan, for life, of the investment you made into this robot “connection”. They will also have the ability, when they find ways to get more cash for a new kink, to download new feature sets on a fairly regular basis. I’m not a dystopian—I am anti-dystopian but it’s vital for us to realize what the future looks like for some of us. It is not easy writing this and I assure you it’s not easy to understand what I see in the future. It all sounds like great fun games just like everything initially and until you realize the deep philosophical reasons why it’s not. And of course there are those that will think I am crazy and the most prude way. Laws? Banning robots are not going to fix the problem. In fact, the underground economy that will arise will be robust and quite unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. And I promise you, you will never remove the robot from somebody’s life once they become deeply addicted to it. Never. I can’t leave you without my prayer: We must as a species mature. We need to train and teach from first grade, to the day you leave this place, that the most important thing on this planet is human connection and love. Once this becomes an accepted axiom and the majority align with a deep desire to form these pair bonds in an honest and candid manner we can mitigate the effects of what this future may bring about. They are in fact, one thing—different sides of the same coin of humanity. These emotions are in every single one of us as the first principals of human existence and is based on one single thing: That thing is encapsulated in the word: LOVE. We seek love and we seek to give love as the first principle of humanity, everything that ever was and ever will be arises from the fertile ground of: LOVE. If you can’t see it keep digging and you will see the root. Thus the emotional component of pair bonding is a profoundly strong opiate if—mechanically—hijacked and sold back to you as a monthly subscription, it is a weapon. It allows the 75 year wedge that has taken place between connections of humanity to be fully severed, especially for life pair bonding. It spans from financial, political, philosophical, and deep hurt foundations. But have no illusions it exists. Now enter humanoid robots that can fulfill any fantasy at any time for any reason that one could possibly think of. It will become the most addictive pervasive and destructive force we have ever witnessed. There is already damaged connection of intimacy for many people, this will be permanently severed. This will break a chain of millions of years that formed every element of ambition for us to move forward. It would be highly useful for an enemy to flood markets, both legally, and what one would certainly be one of the most pervasive underground markets with these types of robots. This is to occupy young men who otherwise would be building, to change this world, into a prison of hours upon hours, days upon days, years upon years of fantasy that will fuel addictions like we have—never—seen before. Locked in rooms, uncoupled and disconnected from the very core of the first principal reason we are here. And it will all come at an initial low cost that was slowly increased the monthly subscription plan, for life, of the investment you made into this robot “connection”. They will also have the ability, when they find ways to get more cash for a new kink, to download new feature sets on a fairly regular basis. I’m not a dystopian—I am anti-dystopian but it’s vital for us to realize what the future looks like for some of us. It is not easy writing this and I assure you it’s not easy to understand what I see in the future. It all sounds like great fun games just like everything initially and until you realize the deep philosophical reasons why it’s not. And of course there are those that will think I am crazy and the most prude way. Laws? Banning robots are not going to fix the problem. In fact, the underground economy that will arise will be robust and quite unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. And I promise you, you will never remove the robot from somebody’s life once they become deeply addicted to it. Never. I can’t leave you without my prayer: We must as a species mature. We need to train and teach from first grade, to the day you leave this place, that the most important thing on this planet is human connection and love. Once this becomes an accepted axiom and the majority align with a deep desire to form these pair bonds in an honest and candid manner we can mitigate the effects of what this future may bring about. Then a Scottish farmer rowed out to a cliff and proved it was older than the human mind could hold. 🇬🇧 His name was James Hutton. A farmer in Berwickshire, trained as a doctor, made rich from a soot factory. For years he watched his own fields wear away in the rain and rebuild downstream. Rock turned to soil, soil washed to sea, and something deep and hot pushed it all back up. Slowly. Endlessly. If that was true, the world was not thousands of years old. It was older than anyone could reckon. He needed proof a person could stand in front of. "I think space is extremely important. But first, you have to go to the definition of importance and say, why is anything important? Obviously, there's single-celled life, multicellular life, there's differentiation of plants and animals, there's life going from the oceans to land, there's mammals and consciousness. There's maybe a half-dozen or so really big milestones in the history of life. And I think on that scale, would also fit the expansion of life to multiple planets. It would be at least as important as life going from the oceans to land, and arguably more important because if you're going from oceans to land and got a lot uncomfortable on the land, you could jump back in the water. But that's not something you could do with going to another planet. In fact, I think extending life to multiple planets really requires consciousness as a precursor. So, if we've got something that's so important that it'd be one of the half dozen or so most important milestones in the history of life itself, that's pretty darn important. And it goes beyond the parochial concerns of humanity. It's something that is of importance to life in general. So, that's why I think it's important to do and this is the first time in the 4-billion-year history of Earth that it's been possible. How long will it remain possible? I'm actually an optimist, so I actually think that things will go fairly well on Earth.
