It’s been a big week at Childress with $IREN's site team accepting delivery of not one but two medium-voltage transformers to support the energization of Horizon 1, our direct-to-chip, liquid-cooled AI data center. These dual units will be installed in Primary Substation 6 and, together with the dual high-voltage transformers already on site, form the foundation of our redundant power architecture. Securing these long-lead items ahead of schedule highlights the strength of our procurement team and puts us in a strong position for Q4 2025 delivery. David Shaw, Chief Operating Officer, commented “The procurement of this bulk substation transformer amid global supply constraints demonstrates the strength of our infrastructure team and the depth of our supplier relationships. In addition to supporting future expansion at Childress, the transformer adds redundancy and reinforces the resilience of our high-voltage platform as we scale towards 750MW of data center capacity.

On March 28, the High-Quality Development Conference on New Infrastructure for Lingnan Digital Creativity Center took place at Guangzhou's Yangcheng Creative Industrial Park.
