On Thursday, President Donald Trump rescinded an executive order targeting the prominent law firm Paul Weiss after the firm agreed to drop its DEI policies and provide $40 million in pro bono work for Trump-aligned causes. It's the latest in a series of actions the president has taken targeting the legal community. In his order, the president targeted firms that either were connected to the criminal cases brought against him or represented Democrats. The order revoked security clearances and banned their employees from government buildings. The Paul Weiss deal came after a federal judge blocked a similar order against another big firm, Perkins Coie, saying it's likely unconstitutional. Last week, hundreds of associates at big law firms signed an open letter calling on their employers to "defend their colleagues and the legal profession" and condemned what they called President Trump’s "intimidation tactics." The target weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to evade arrest. The two men fled from the vehicle and barricaded themselves in the residence. Officers immediately established a perimeter and requested backup by local law and federal law enforcement partners. Two ICE officers involved were taken to the hospital for medical evaluation – they are expected to be released without serious injuries.

This incident is much bigger than it first appeared and I’ve obtained all of the available video. ICE agents detained an illegal alien and as they were taking him away, a relative with a bloody nose tried to grab the detainee. In the second clip, one of the group reaches for the firearm of an ICE agent and gets punched in the face. The agent says one of the women assaulted him and he had to wrestle with the torta for several minutes before she was finally detained. I’m waiting for a statement from ICE on the incident.
