From 2027, Zimbabwe will require every school without exception to register its learners for ZIMSEC examinations. The era of parallel foreign examination systems operating outside our national framework is over. It's mandatory for all students to write ZIMSEC. However, schools wishing to offer both ZIMSEC and Cambridge should apply... for permission to do so provided there is justification for it. This is not an attack on academic excellence. We are not banning Cambridge examinations .This is an assertion of national sovereignty over our own Education System. Zimbabwe's children deserve to be assessed on a common, uniform standard one that this government controls, benchmarks, and continuously improves. For too long, a two-tier system has told some children that their futures are validated in Cambridge and told others that ZIMSEC is somehow second best. That ends now. Private institutions operating on Zimbabwean soil have a clear directive: align with the national framework. This is not negotiable. Allow me to address the Israeli people. Your government wants you to believe that the whole world is conspiring against you, that the Palestinian people are terrorists, that the UN is filled with terrorist and terrorist supporters, that your closest allies are your enemies. This most radical Israeli government and its Foreign Minister are calling for “de radicalization” of the Palestinian society as a whole, calling them “human animals” and “children of darkness”. They want you to believe that your survival depends on your ability to continuously wage wars, including against a defenseless civilian population half of whom are children, on their erasure. The Israeli people need to decide if this is what they want their government and military doing. These atrocities that the whole world is watching and that your government is hoping you will filter out, deny or justify. In the midst of this genocide we are telling you: we choose peace and appeal to you to do the same. We do it for our children and our people. You should do it for your children and your loved ones. Enough bloodshed. Enough wars. Enough suffering. If not for the Palestinian people’s sake, for your own, if not in the name of humanity, in the name of self-preservation. What a cruel joke this has become for the people of Uttarakhand. We have all seen the condition of government schools. During the monsoon, children risk their lives crossing broken roads and dangerous rivers just to attend classes. And now it has gone even further. Children are not safe from leopards and bears. Wild animals are entering school areas. Children are no longer just struggling to study. They are running for their lives inside and around schools. Education cannot come at the cost of survival. This is not resilience. This is neglect being normalised.

Dr. Njoki Fernandes sat on a television studio and told Kenyans that there is a private school for every pocket and that parents should stop pushing their children into congested public schools. It is the kind of statement that can only come from someone who has never had to choose between school fees and food. Nobody takes their child to a public school because they prefer it. They take them there because it is what they can afford. The parent in Kibera, the farmer in Turkana, the bodaboda rider in Eldoret did not sit down and weigh private school options against public ones. They had one option and they took it. Telling them to consider private schools is not advice. It is an insult dressed in concern. The real question that should have been asked on that television programme is this. Why are public schools congested in the first place? Why are dormitories unsafe? Why are there not enough teachers, enough classrooms, enough fire extinguishers? The answer is that the government has chronically underfunded public education while the elite that makes policy sends their own children to private schools and international institutions. They have no personal stake in fixing what they do not use. If the government fully funded public education, ensured proper capitation from primary to secondary level and made basic education genuinely free and properly resourced, the conversation would be completely different. Parents do not need to be told to find a private school. They need a government that treats public education as a right worth funding properly. It's obvious to the whole country that there is a very serious problem with our examination system. This is not just the question of the NEET but major examinations. Now, the minister has blamed everybody except himself. I don't think he understands the fundamentals of what's going on here. The issue is that there are millions of students in this country who are extremely concerned about what is going on and who are convinced that the Indian examination system is a fraud. Millions of people believe that if you're rich, you can buy the Indian examination system, and this is the same feeling we as the Opposition have. This is why we are asking some very simple questions to the Hon. Minister. 👉As this is a systemic issue, what exactly are you doing to fix the issue at a systemic level? : LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi

We once again request National Board of Examinations to understand our concerns & request Jagat Prakash Nadda Ji to kindly look into the demands of students. National Medical Commission MBBS seat permission given by NMC in past two years is mockery of the health care system of india. We are competing not with Uk/ USA but our aim has become that our clg should be like russia/ ukraine so that ppl should not go there. All the business men are opening colleges and the word education is loosing its meaning. Dark chapter of medical days are being witnessed by us. Worst part many players of our team the so called big doctors are just supporting this for name fame and money. BJP Jagat Prakash Nadda sir kindly revise the entire National Medical Commission National Board of Examinations as they are working in no sync with docs!!!

The Becker Schools in Minnesota released a statement about the incident where a teacher politically berated one of her students for not agreeing with her political gaslighting. Thankfully, the incident was filmed so it wouldn’t become a ‘he said/she said’ situation that the school system would sweep under the rug. But hey … they may still do just that. In a statement made by the school … Dr Jeremy Schmidt said a lot of contradictory things, while clearing up nothing. “We are maintaining a safe, structured learning environment (blah blah blah) …” —- make that make sense … how is it safe for a student when a teacher SHUTS THEM DOWN for having a different view or opinion than the teachers?! Is that considered part of their ‘structured learning environment’?! No one ever asked the school to PUNISH their entire community of teachers … WeThePeople simply asked that the particular teacher in question be suspended or fired for not providing a safe and respectful environment for her students. As far as ‘truth-seeking’ … she is on video, those are her words and actions … you can’t get anymore truthful than that. So don’t call our eyes or ears deceitful. Without those of us on social media bringing situations like this to the forefront … our schools will continue to get away with indoctrination and we parents are sick of it. All we ask is that our kids be taught: reading, writing, math, real science (not the ‘because I feel’ science), real history (not revisionist history to fit a narrative), civics and respect for our country. Leave activism, teacher’s opinions, teacher’s private life choices OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS. Even professors, from the mostly leftist universities, are beginning to complain that students entering college now can’t even read or have a basic understanding of things. 60 years ago, Ronald Reagan gave Americans a warning that has stood the test of time. This is from Reagan's "Time for Choosing" speech: "If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth. And this idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except to sovereign people, is still the newest and most unique idea in all the long history of man's relation to man. This is the issue of this election. Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves." "You and I are told increasingly that we have to choose between a left or right, but I would like to suggest that there is no such thing as a left or right. This teacher says if you ever wonder why people are leaving the teaching profession in droves, this is one of the main reasons. She has students that she has written an incident report on every single day. She has contacted the principal and the support staff and the help that was given to her was to email the parents of the students. Basically, no help or support at all. We have many epidemics in our country but this is one of the biggest that doesn’t get enough attention. We all know our school system is a failure but even more than we know. Students these days have zero consequences. They are passed with straight F’s. They are allowed to be a continuing distraction and disruption in the classrooms and nothing is done about it. We need to start over. 💯 Why do we allow this this as a school? As a district? As a city? As a state? As a country? It didn’t use to be like this? This is why other countries surpass us in education, there is no discipline in our schools. Would you want to be a teacher in this day and age at a public school?

Most of our major cities are living under a blanket of poisonous air. Millions of children are getting lung diseases, their future is being destroyed, and people are getting cancer. Older people are struggling to breathe. This is an interesting issue because I am certain that there would be full agreement between the government and us on this. This is not an ideological issue; everybody in the House agrees that air pollution—and the damage it is doing to our people—is something we should co-operate on. I think it is important that the government develops a plan to get rid of air pollution in our cities. We are more than happy to co-operate with the government to develop such a plan. On this issue, we can show the country that we can work together on something that is critical. We should have a detailed discussion in Parliament on this, and the Prime Minister should put in place a methodical, systematic plan for each city—one that can, over the next 5 or 10 years, make life easier for our people. : LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha
